Hello Fort Smith Soccer Club!!
Our coaches have been seeing some very low participation numbers recently. The club understands that summer is a time to vacation, take it easy, and spend time with your families and loved ones. With that in mind, it’s unfair to the volunteer coaches who plan practices and expect a certain number of players based on registration. The coaches time is just as valuable as our players and their families. If our numbers continue to be less than 5 per age group next week, we may cancel the rest of the season.
We appreciate everyone who has communicated with us about their players being away or missing practices due to other obligations.
If you have questions about this post, you can message us via Facebook, send us an email at [email protected] or call 250-986-8423.

⚽️⚽️Hello Fort Smith Soccer Club!!⚽️⚽️
There was an email sent to all registered players parents/guardians just a few minutes ago. There is a waiver form that NWT Soccer requires be signed before they will complete your players registration. We will need these signed and emailed back to the club before we have our first practice tomorrow. This is a new waiver that is required for registration as a part of the association.

⚽️⚽️Hello Fort Smith Soccer Club!!⚽️⚽️
Our summer season is fast approaching with our first practices of the season being held this Thursday, June 12th. With this comes a friendly reminder of what players need to wear when arriving to the field to play.
1. Soccer cleats/running shoes - Cleats are best for traction and ball control, but running shoes or sneakers will suffice. No metal studs/cleats are allowed. No boots, sandals, crocs, or anything where the heel or toes are exposed.
2. Shin guards - Primary purpose to do exactly as the name suggests, guard the shins. These should be worn under socks, but can be worn on top of them if unable to. These are required as you could only imagine how badly a shin can be hit or kicked when players are going after the ball.
3. Water Bottle - Hydration is a key component to health and safety when on the field. There is not a fountain or cooler on the field, so players are expected to bring this to the field with them.
4. FSSC Training/Practice Jersey - These were ordered last week after our registration closed. Due to time constraints to get the logos added and shipping delays with Canada Post, these may not be there for our first practice on Thursday. We will distribute these to players as soon as they arrive from UPS. In the meantime, we ask that players wear a comfortable tshirt for practices until they arrive. These must be worn to practices, as they show team pride, consistency, and will be something used when we compete later in the summer.
As always, this is a sport that remains in Fort Smith to bring children together, learn teamwork, learn the skills of the game, but most importantly to be fun. We want to make sure that this is FUN, but also SAFE.
