📣 Important News About the 2026 Tennis Season:

At its March 23 Town Council meeting, councillors voted unanimously in favour of taking over full stewardship of the tennis courts. This includes collecting all membership and court fees directly.

We tried our best to find a way for the Tennis Club to continue running at least some of its programs this summer, but without any revenue from adult memberships, it’s not financially possible for us to operate.

The Town has shared that its main goal is to provide more public access to the four new hard courts installed to hopefully bring more people to the sport we all love.

The Town will not operate the Har-tru courts in 2026, but we've made arrangements to have them operational for this year.

The Fort Erie Tennis Club has made the difficult decision to suspend its operations this year; it will not offer any programs in 2026. If there are any clinics, tournaments or junior tennis programs, they will be offered and operated by the Town.

We understand this is disappointing news, and we are grateful for the support and enthusiasm you have shown the Fort Erie Tennis Club over the years.

📣 EXCITING NEWS!!

We've been notified by the Town of Fort Erie that our long-awaited court reconstruction will start next month! All four of our hard courts are being completely replaced, and next year we'll have four brand new surfaces to play on!

🥳 🥳 🥳 🥳

The court reconstruction will begin the week of September 8, cutting our 2025 season short. The last day to play on all courts will be September 7, as the Har-tru courts will be closed as well out of an abundance of caution. ⚠️

All returning 2025 tennis club members will receive a one-month discount on their 2026 membership to compensate for the lost play time this year.

In the meantime, get out and take advantage of the sunshine as much as possible between now and September 7 🎾 Get in an extra game or two each week if you can to make the most of this incredible summer!

Your access to the ball machine has been granted! The machine will be available every Wednesday from 5-7 p.m. and every Saturday from 9-11 a.m. (beginning July 26). Your membership includes access to the machine. Guests pay just $5!

Calling all beginners! Here’s your chance to learn how to play, even if you’ve never picked up a racquet!

Absolute Beginner Mondays is for everyone who wants to learn, whether you’ve played a little or not at all. Expect to have a lot of fun!

The clinic runs every Monday from 7 to 8 p.m., starting June 30. Membership is not required. A $5 fee applies to non-members.

Our Summer Junior Program starts Monday!

Tennis is still one of the most affordable sports for children in Fort Erie, thanks to the funding we receive from Delta Fort Erie Bingo. It's fun, too!

New players are always welcome!

🔸Runs: June 30-August 22

🔸 Equipment: None! We supply the racquets

📣 Attention junior tennis players: Winter tennis is here! 📣

We’re excited to announce a *NEW* 12-week junior winter program for Fort Erie youth ages 5 to 17.

The best part? It’s only $60! (That’s just $5 per lesson!)

Join us every Sunday afternoon this winter at the Niagara Falls Racquet Centre. The program starts January 5 and runs through March 30. Lessons run from 2-3 p.m. and 3-4 p.m. (divided by age and skill level).

You’ll get the same number of lessons as our popular summer program at half the price!

No equipment necessary – we’ll provide the racquets and tennis balls!

Spots are already starting to fill up. Register on our website at forterietennis.ca by December 20.
