🎬 A new Kootenay-made series begins production this month! 🌾

Produced by Skimmerhorn Productions in Creston, THE FARMERS' MARKET EFFECT begins filming this August after being selected for TELUS STORYHIVE.

Hosted by Creston's Jessica Piccinin, this 10-part series celebrates the people, businesses, and community spirit that make the Creston Farmers' Market such a vibrant gathering place.

We're excited to follow this inspiring local production as it explores what it truly means to build community through food, connection, and shared stories.
Congratulations to the Skimmerhorn Productions team, and we can't wait to see the series come to life!

Make a film 🎥 in 48 hrs

Want to make a film? 🎬

Challenge yourself in the first-ever FORKS48, a fast-paced 48-hour filmmaking challenge.

Here's how it works:

At 6:00 PM on Friday, July 31, you'll receive three required elements:
• A Prop
• A Line of Dialogue
• A Narrative Element

From there, you have just 48 hours to write, shoot, and edit a short film (maximum 5 minutes, 30 seconds including credits).

Every film must include all three challenge elements.

Then, sit back and enjoy a screening of all the completed films alongside fellow FORKS48 teams!

No filmmaking experience? No problem.

As long as you have a phone, some creativity, and a willingness to give it a shot, FORKS48 is for you.

Registration is completely free.

Grab your friends, build a team, and see what you can create in just 48 hours.
