Truro, N.S. (March 20, 2026) – The Maritime Junior Hockey League (MHL) is pleased to announce Carter Bromley of the Lightning Chaleur as the 2025-26 Rookie of the Year.

The 18-year-old from Hughes Brook, N.L. led all rookies in scoring with 53 points in 51 games to finish fourth in team scoring for Chaleur. Bromley also had the most goals (23), assists (30), powerplay assists (12), and powerplay points (17) among rookies. In the process, he set franchise rookie records in goals, assists, and points. Bromley was the only MHL rookie to score two shootout goals this season. He had points in 33 games, including fifteen multi-point games.

He was named the MHL’s Top Rookie in September and was twice on the Eastlink North Team of the Week.

Truro, N.-É. (20 mars 2026) – La Ligue de hockey junior des Maritimes (LHM) a le plaisir d'annoncer que Carter Bromley, du Lightning de Chaleur, a été nommé recrue de l'année 2025-2026.

Le jeune joueur de 18 ans, originaire de Hughes Brook (Terre-Neuve-et-Labrador), a terminé en tête des recrues au classement des pointeurs avec 53 points en 51 matchs, se classant ainsi quatrième meilleur pointeur de l'équipe de Chaleur. Bromley a également enregistré le plus grand nombre de buts (23), de passes (30), de passes en supériorité numérique (12) et de points en avantage numérique (17) parmi les recrues. Ce faisant, il a établi des records de la franchise pour les recrues en matière de buts, de passes et de points. Bromley a été la seule recrue de la LHM à marquer deux buts en tirs de barrage cette saison. Il a récolté des points lors de 33 matchs, dont 15 où il a inscrit plus d’un point.

Il a été nommé meilleure recrue de la LHM en septembre et a figuré deux fois dans l’équipe de la semaine Eastlink Nord.
