Monster Mile is calling, and our trail crew answered.

The crew’s been busy dialling in the Monster Mile ahead of this weekends race, swipe through for a BTS look at what it actually takes Monster Mile race-ready.

Multiple categories. Podiums on the line. A whole weekend of hard racing and good vibes. Spots are limited, so lock yours in before Saturday.

THURSDAY: Kick things off with the Thursday Night Race Series: Racing Helter Skelter from Mid Mountain — On-site reg ONLY. Come Early to snag a spot (They've been going quick!)

FRIDAY: Get those practice laps in + athlete registration @ 4PM

SATURDAY: Seeding runs all day, then head down to the FORBIDDEN WHIP OFF at 6PM - Tired of watching from the sidelines? Come to the Forbidden tent on-site Saturday to sign up.

SUNDAY: Finals kick off at 12:30PM — stick around after for the podium + raffle!

Ok Heidi, we're impressed.

That's 12 times she has cycled to work from Courtenay so far this summer, AND on a DH bike too. 🤯 Still fresh as a daisy to serve our guests on the patio afterwards too!

Not only is she a long-term employee at the resort alongside partner Jared, but also a school teacher in Courtenay. Not to mention she has raised two wicked kids, Mya and Kasch, who are crushing it as junior downhill racers on the provincial circuit.

We are happy to announce our gnarliest trail, and course for next weekend's Steve Smith Memorial DH race is now open. How rad that some of our summer bike camp kids tested it out yesterday!

An important reminder:
❗Double-black trail, experts only
❗Full face helmets are MANDATORY
❗Pre-ride, re-ride, free-ride
❗Warm up on Hawk terrain before attempting Monster Mile
❗Load on Eagle Chair, 11 AM - 6 PM Thu - Sat, 11 AM - 4 PM Sun - Wed

We’re looking for course marshals to help out at two upcoming bike events at Mount Washington. You’ll be right on course, close to the action, while helping keep riders and spectators safe and the events running smoothly.

What to Expect:
Volunteer shifts are full days starting at 8:30 AM. You’ll be outside for the day and will help keep the course clear, support event operations, and ensure everyone stays safe.
And, of course, you’ll have a great view of the racing and be part of the event crew.
