The story celebrates Bob, an Oshawa grandfather who went above and beyond to coach the Okamoto Jays, making the 2½-hour round trip every Sunday to be there for his grandson and his teammates.

UIC and OBA Clinician Carole is incredibly proud of the hard work and dedication shown by all of our umpires this season. This selection is a well-deserved recognition of their efforts.

📣 High School Volunteers Needed!⚾

Looking to earn volunteer hours this summer ? Want to be part of the Collingwood Summer Classic Tournament weekend?

We’re looking for high school students to help at our 12U & 15U tournament weekend July 10-12.

Duties may include:
• 🥤 Helping at the concession stands
• 🧹 Assisting with diamond repairs
• 👥 Supporting our on-site convenors
• ⚾ other game day tasks

🌞⚾️ Summer Heat Wave Reminder⚾️🌞

With the hot weather expected over the next few days, and as we head into the rest of summer we wanted to share a quick reminder for all players and families.

Unless there is a Special Air Quality Statement or other severe weather concern, you can generally expect games and practices to proceed as scheduled.

Coaches may use their discretion to modify, shorten, or cancel an activity based on hot conditions, player safety, and the needs of their team. Expect extra water breaks, time in the shade, and lower-intensity activities when needed.

Parents know their children best and should always use their own judgment. If you feel the conditions are not suitable for your child to participate, please let your coach know.

Please help players prepare by sending:
💧 Plenty of water- HYDRATE!
🧢 don’t forget your hat
🧴 Sunscreen
👕 Light, breathable clothing at practices
⛺️Get in the shade when available
