Just a reminder there is NO youth roping tonite as everyone is at Dogpound rodeo today!

Roping schedule for the week of July 6th:
Monday, July 6th: Ranch Roping, Team Roping, Breakaway wrap at 6:30, rope at 7.

Wednesday, July 8: coached youth program 7-9pm

Friday, July 10th: TR/BAW wrap and 6:30, rope at 7

Youth are required to wear helmets.

Can we talk about last night?? Our first coached youth night of the season was a huge success! Coach John Owens and his team rose to the challenge of meeting the needs of a huge group of excited, eager kids of varying roping experience. Every roper left with some new tips and tricks and a great big smile on their faces! We are so glad you all came out!!!

Cochrane Roping Club Welcome to the Cochrane Roping Club!

YOUTH roping starts tonight! Due to this rain and the wet conditions in the outdoor arena, we’ll be roping up in the indoor. 7-9pm. Lots of roping fun to be had but no live cattle tonight. Helmets required for those who plan to ride tonight as we’ll have time for heel o matic. 🤠

Coached youth rope nights begin this Wednesday, July 1st! We have the indoor arena booked just in case the outdoor is still too wet. 7-9pm
Our youth program will run for 8 Wednesdays through July and August coached by John Owens of BAR JO Ranches. Whether your youth is just learning to throw a rope from the ground, is tracking a dummy or chasing live steers/calves our program is a great place for them to get practice with coaching and feedback. A safe rope horse and helmet are required for those ready to rope the heel-o-matic or live cattle. If your child is just getting started, they can learn to throw a loop at a dummy from the ground, no horse required! Check out our website https://www.cochraneropingclub.com/ for registration info. Wow!! What a fabulous community of ropers we have built here at CRC! The weather has not been our favorite, but you all keep showing up, pitching in, and roping under the wide open Alberta skies between raindrops! Thank you! We have straight running cattle and the best chute help! We couldn’t be more excited about the summer roping season! It’s not too late to join us!
