How’s your season going? As teams start to head into play off hockey it’s important to be on your game, that includes your mental game!

My son, was starting to get frustrated as he was on a bit of a scoring slump. I asked him if he knew when the last time he scored was, and as it turns out, it was also the last time we did a hypnosis session.

As we headed into a tournament this weekend we did a session, we talked about his line scoring in their first shift, and what do you know, he executed that! A beautiful pass to his line mate right in front of the net and we are 1-0 in the first shift of the game! He followed up by a goal in the second period, and his scoring slump is now over!

He understands the importance of being both mentally and physically prepared.

How I Discovered the Power of Sports Hypnosis

As an athlete myself, I know firsthand how mental blocks can change everything. One moment I was at the top of my game, and the next, I found myself unable to perform due to a block that ultimately took me out of my sport. I’ve felt the frustration of knowing my potential but not being able to access it.

Years later, as a mom of two athletic sons, I witnessed my eldest, an extremely skilled player, start to get inside his own head . He’s played in the OMHA, GTHL, OHL, OJHL, and now U-Sports—a journey it has been. Yet, I saw him get inside his own head. I saw his confidence diminish as he sat on the bench, second-guessing himself and his abilities. I knew he needed something more than just physical training. He needed a way to strengthen his mind.

I looked for someone to help him—a professional who spoke his language and understood the inner workings of both his sport and the athlete mindset. When I couldn’t find that person, I knew I had to step up and be the one to bridge that gap. We had tried mental performance coaches but he needed to re-wire his thoughts. This led me to sports hypnosis.

Today, I’m here to help athletes just like him—and you—break through mental barriers, build unshakable confidence, and perform at your absolute best. I speak your language. I understand sports and athletes because I’ve been there, both as an athlete and a parent.

Tis the season for leadership announcements. If you, or your athlete are not given a letter, don’t be disappointed, don’t put down the kids that got them, don’t start making comparisons.
