The tallest cake i've made. EVER.
Also the first one with those classic roman columns in between tiers. I was so anxious setting it up at the venue. I'm just so thankful it was a success and everyone loved it! 🙃

These two were just so fun to make even if they're pretty simple to make. I always love me some semi-ombre style design.

Lots of piping that happened this weekend.
This was the smallest of them. Just a small princess-themed cake for a lil princess 😊 came with cakepops and mini cupcakes too 🤤

Despite the pain from my carpal tunnel... i will always come through when I make the commitment to make your cake. One of my biggest weekends. I need a bigger fridge 😆

This weekend's cakes were timed perfectly for my "last hurrah," the last, big and busy weekend for cakes, as I am stepping back from these big ones for a while. I have a few more lined up but they're scheduled far enough from each other that I would be able to rest my hands for a bit in between.
It's sad when you have to let go of something you love to do and brings your chaotic and loud mind some peace and quiet. It's not a complete goodbye, but it's a significant one.

One of my favorite cakes that I made recently 😍
This cake put me in my zen mode. Creating those edible cake decorations--the fox, deer, acors, pine cones, and mushrooms--required my focus and that focus put me in a trance-like feeling. And the end result is this. That's what happens when im hyperfocused on whatever i'm doing. It's one of my traits as someone with autism and I consider it as a superpower.
Everything here is edible, even the rocks and molds.

Some home-made fresh from scratch 🤤
The secret is not really a secret 😅 a bit of lemon juice to bring out the tartness and balance our the sweetness from the sugar that makes the compote shelf-stable.

It was heavenly smooth 😇🙏
Tried a and i fell in love with how smooth it turned out! But... it was a bit too sweet for my liking. Not gonna make it again unless I drastically reduce the amount of sugar. I could probably still use powdered sugar, which contributes to it being smooth, but I'm gonna have to cut it in half. Or maybe just use regular white sugar? What do you think?
When I saw the recipe online, the creator said it's not too sweet but I completely disagree. I had to combine this with my own actual SMBC to cut the sweetness.
It was a good try though. Just need to alter the recipe if i'm to make it again.
Could you share your favorite mock smbc that's not sweet? Like something you'd think doesn't have sugar in it.
