🏏 A dominant team victory for WI Sports Mississauga!
After posting a competitive 160/8, our bowlers delivered a complete team performance to restrict SuperNovas CC to 109/9 and secure an impressive 51-run win.
Player of the Match Ishan Khanna made a vital all-round contribution with 34 runs from 29 balls and bowling figures of 2/27 from four overs. A fantastic effort from the entire team—well done, boys! 👏🔥

WI Sports Canada is incredibly proud of 12-year-old Ruhanaya Bahl, who competed in the EDCL Men’s Senior T20 competition and showed that talent has no age or gender.
Ruhanaya took two important wickets — first dismissing the opposition’s top scorer for 40, caught in the field, before following it up by bowling the wicketkeeper first ball for a duck — middle stump! 🎯
She then contributed with the bat, carrying her bat and finishing NOT OUT at a strike rate of 100.
At just 12 years old, competing alongside and against senior male cricketers takes talent, confidence and courage.
This is what the WI Sports platform is all about — creating opportunities for talented players to compete, develop and express themselves.

Season 1 in HDCL Division 1: Complete. ✅
While rain washed out our final match of the year, it couldn't wash away what this group achieved. Heading into a tough West Division with zero home fixtures meant every single run and wicket was earned the hard way on the road.
Despite the travel demands, the squad showed up, battled hard, secured our mid-table finish, and kept WI Sports right where we belong in Division 1.
Huge credit to all the players who stepped up throughout the campaign. We take every single lesson from this year into the offseason as we begin building for 2027—where we look forward to less time on the QEW and hopefully hosting some games back home in Hamilton! 🏏

🏏 WI SPORTS HAMILTON IS RECRUITING PLAYERS!
WI Sports Hamilton is recruiting committed players for the 2026/2027 HDCL T25 Pink-Ball Tournament.
LIMITED ROSTER SPOTS AVAILABLE
We are especially looking for:
• Left-arm spinners, preferably left-arm orthodox/off-spin bowlers
• Left-handed batsmen
• At least three fast bowlers who can bowl effectively during the powerplay—right-arm or left-arm
• Middle-order batsmen who can rotate the strike, build partnerships and punish bad deliveries
If you have any other skills feel free to reach.
WI are not looking at beginner and/or average players for this team as its a Division 1 team (the highest division).
PLAYER REQUIREMENTS
Applicants should:
• Live in or around Hamilton
• Be able to play in Niagara and Brantford when required
• Be reliable and committed throughout the season
• Pay team fees on time
• Put team results ahead of personal statistics
• Respect teammates, assigned roles and team-selection decisions
• Contribute positively within a competitive team environment
HDCL TRANSFERS
Players currently registered with another HDCL team must be willing and eligible to transfer to WI Sports Hamilton.
FAST-TRACK OPPORTUNITY
Players with strong existing CricClubs or CricHeroes statistics may receive fast-track consideration for the roster, subject to current form, availability and team fit.
