Ladies, can we talk about the fear of “getting bulky”? 👀
I hear it all the time:
“I don’t want to lift too heavy.”
“I don’t want to get big.”
“I just want to tone.”
But here’s what I think you should be way more afraid of…
Aging before your time.
As we get older, maintaining muscle becomes incredibly important. Strength training helps us preserve muscle, support strong bones, protect our joints, improve balance and stability, support our metabolism, and—most importantly—keep us capable of doing the things we love.
You are NOT going to accidentally wake up one morning looking like a bodybuilder because you picked up a heavier dumbbell. 😂 Building significant muscle takes intentional training, nutrition, consistency, and time.
What can happen when we stop challenging our bodies is that we gradually lose muscle, strength, power and independence.
So don’t be afraid of getting “too muscular.”
Be afraid of becoming afraid to use your body.
Lift the weights.
Challenge yourself.
Build muscle.
Get stronger.
And if you have no idea where to start, that’s where I come in. 💪🏼
Through personal training, I can help you learn proper form, build a program that fits your goals and your life, and most importantly, help you feel confident and strong in the gym.
You don’t have to figure it all out yourself.
Let’s build the strength you want for the body and life you want—now and for the years ahead. 🖤💪🏼
