Many thanks to everyone that gave generously of their time and efforts to help support our Bedford Beavers 2026 summer swim meet this past Saturday!
400 swimmers, from the province, gave it their best in the pool. Some swimmers raced their first race ever, congratulations to you!!
Here’s to a great summer season , and again, thank you to all who helped before, during and after the meet!

Come on by the Sugar Shack after your swim! The Sugar Shack is run by volunteers from the Bedford Beaver swim team!
If the OPEN sign is up, drop by for a sweet or frozen treat! Generally it’s open from 1-5pm!

The countdown is on!! Pre-season swimming for the summer season has started but there’s still some room left to join our fun and competitive swim team!

Do you have a child aged 6-18 years old that loves to swim?!
Registration is now OPEN for the Bedford Beavers summer swim team! Space is limited.
The swimming season starts July 1st ( with pre-season practices starting mid-June -schedule to come) and the season ends with summer provincials held August 14-16th.
New swimmers must pass a swim competency test.
Swimmers will be placed in practice groups that swim daily during weekdays at the Bedford Outdoor Pool. New swimmers typically swim 4-5pm or 5-6pm.
The Bedford Outdoor pool offer 6 training lanes, a fun playground, beautiful view of the Bedford Basin and a summer filled with memory making opportunities !
Swimmers also have the opportunity participate in swim meets held throughout Nova Scotia on the weekends to develop their racing skills.
Other fun opportunities include: pep rallies, ice cream socials and team building fun!

Senior swimmers have the option to practice most weekday mornings ( it’s a beautiful view to wake up to!)!
Afternoon practice groups start at 4pm each weekday from July 1st- August 17th.
Summer 2025 registration is open!
