**Junior Curling Interest Survey!**
We’re starting to plan for the upcoming Junior Curling season at the Beaverlodge Curling Club and want to hear from local families!
If your child may be interested in curling this season, please take a couple of minutes to complete our survey. We’re looking for feedback on which weeknights work best, as well as interest in coaching, coach training, and helping coordinate the Junior Curling program.
No previous curling experience is necessary — beginners are welcome!

🥌 Meet Your 2026/2027 Beaverlodge Curling Club Board & Executive! 🥌
As we slide into another season, we’d like to recognize the incredible volunteers who have stepped up to help keep our club thriving.
Please join us in welcoming and thanking our Board & Executive:
⭐ President – Natasha Johnston
⭐ Vice President – OPEN
⭐ Treasurer – Natasha McNaughton
⭐ Secretary – Sarah Sazwan
⭐ General Manager & Ice Technician – Barry Sideroff
⭐ Co-Ice Tech & Sponsorship – Riley White
⭐ Directors: Lorraine Walker, Andrea Moncreiff, Connie Lee, Jackie Antsey, Darryl Brown & Norma Sazwan
Volunteerism across Canada has been on a bit of a losing streak lately. Since 2018, the percentage of Canadians volunteering through organizations has dropped from 41% to 32%, and sports and recreation organizations have seen volunteer hours decline by 34%.
In other words, there are fewer people sweeping and a whole lot more rocks to throw.
Yet somehow, Beaverlodge Curling Club continues to find people willing to step up, pitch in, and make things happen.
Whether it’s helping with bonspiels, coaching juniors, working behind the bar, organizing events, fundraising, selling tickets, cleaning the club, finding sponsors, maintaining the ice, serving on the board, or answering the dreaded question:
“Can you help with one little thing?”
(Which every volunteer knows is code for: “Congratulations, you’ve just adopted a new hobby until April.” 😆)
The truth is, our club doesn’t run because of the ice plant, the rocks, or the building.
It runs because of people.
Every bonspiel, league night, junior program, fundraiser, sponsorship package, bar shift, and successful season happens because members continue to step up when they’re needed.
To our Board, Executive, Directors, volunteers, sponsors, and members: thank you for continuing to buck the national trend and proving that community spirit is alive and well in Beaverlodge.
Here’s to another season filled with great shots, questionable strategy, lots of laughs, and just enough sweeping to convince ourselves we meant to throw it there.
Thank you for helping keep the rocks rolling, the ice in, the lights on, and the good times coming. ❤️🥌
