The growth we’ve seen across our region this season has been incredible, and every single player should be proud of what was accomplished both on and off the boards.

👏 Congratulations to everyone who attended an ACL Ontario Regional and to those who battled their way to the top. Every Regional Champion and every Provincial Champion earned their place through hard work and dedication.

The Whitney Recreation Committee would like to extend a heartfelt thank you to everyone who joined us to celebrate Canada Day. It was an incredible day, and we couldn't have asked for a better community to celebrate with!

We were thrilled to begin the day with the official opening of our new accessible playground. Thank you to everyone who attended this special milestone, including Mayor Ethel Birkett LaValley, Council, and the South Algonquin Business Alliance for helping us celebrate.

Our 4th Annual Co****le Tournament was another huge success! A special thank you goes to James and Char from Findawg Co****le for organizing and running such a fantastic tournament. You both did an amazing job!

A big thank you as well to the Township of South Algonquin Public Library and Drayke Evans from the Algonquin Wildlife Research Station for the engaging snake presentation. It was a wonderful addition to the day's festivities and a hit with attendees of all ages.

Events like this simply wouldn't happen without our incredible volunteers. Thank you to:
• Dana Boldt and Kensley Cannon for keeping everyone refreshed and hydrated in the beer garden.
• Ted Volpe, Joyce Collins Volpe, and Robert Craftchick for serving up an amazing BBQ and delicious fresh-cut fries.
• Theresa Kramer and Joanne e Healy for handling ticket sales and multiple tasks throughout the day.
• Joan Kuiack and Lynn Whitney for always jumping in and helping where you're needed.
• Everyone who showed up to help with tent and table setup. Jacob Sovie, Lucas Pordonick, Earl Avery, Tyler Avery, Ted Volpe, and more
• The entire The Whitney Recreation Committee, who continue to keep these events going throughout the year.

Finally, thank you to everyone who came out to celebrate with us. Your support is what makes these community events so special.
