Gearing up for the season we want to give a shout out to all those who have liked, shared, showed up and continued to support our team and newly developed organization. It takes a village and we wouldn't be able to create this team without all of you.

Ringette Nova Scotia is excited to announce that the 2027 Eastern Canadian Ringette Championships will be hosted in Sydney, Cape Breton, Nova Scotia, from April 15-18, 2027!

This marks an exciting milestone for ringette, as it will be the first time the Championships are held in Sydney. Following the successful 2026 IIHF U18 Women’s World Championship in Sydney and Membertou, the community is excited and well positioned to welcome athletes, families, coaches and officials while delivering strong economic and community benefits for Cape Breton.
Importantly, hosting the Championships in Sydney will help bring one of ringette’s premier events directly to athletes and families in Cape Breton, creating new opportunities to inspire local players, showcase the sport, and strengthen the growth of ringette in the region. 

We look forward to sharing additional, exciting details in early September. Stay tuned for our social media sites!

X-Men Hockey Gear Drive! 🔥🏒

Next week, X-Men Hockey is teaming up with to help local youth hockey players get ready for the season.

Have some lightly used hockey gear that you no longer use? Bring it to the Saputo Centre on Monday, August 24 from 11-1 and 4-6 and donate it!

Then on Tuesday, August 25th, stop by and pick up any gear you need for the upcoming season.

Join us in helping remove financial and equipment barriers so youth can play hockey 💙

Cost: $300 for the whole season

Equipment: full gear is required*

Ages: U10 (although exceptions will be made for those who are older than this category)

When: ice time is being finalized

Commitment: 1 practice per week, 1 tournament, and opportunities to play games against surrounding teams (mid Oct to early March)

Experience: none required (the Learn2Play is also a great option for beginners- stay tuned for this registration)

*Ringette NS and the Highland Ringers organization can work with families to acquire all gear as needed
