At Venom HC AAA, we’re committed to developing more than hockey players—we’re committed to developing leaders.

This season, we’re honoured to partner with Canuck Place Children’s Hospice as part of our commitment to giving back to our community. Our players and staff will be volunteering, supporting fundraising initiatives, participating in community events, and helping make a difference for children and families across British Columbia.

Later this season, we’ll host a special fundraising event in support of this incredible organization, and the Venom HC AAA Program will make an annual donation in the name of our teams as part of our long-term commitment.

Being a Venom means competing with passion on the ice while serving with purpose off it. Community service, leadership, and character are fundamental pieces of our culture, and we couldn’t be more excited to support such an inspiring cause.

🚨16U SIGNING🚨 Please join us in welcoming Caspian Webber to the Abbotsford Venom HC 16U AAA team for the 2026/27 season! 🐍

A proud Abbotsford product, the 2011-born forward joins the Venom after a strong season with the Abbotsford Hawks U15 A2 and valuable spring development with the 16U Sharpshooter Academy.

Happy 4th of July from the Western International Junior Hockey League.

The Western International Junior Hockey League (WIJHL) is pleased to announce the divisional alignment for our inaugural season.

The North Division will consist of the 100 Mile House Wranglers, Chase Heat, Enderby Icemen, Golden Rockets, and the Sicamous Eagles.

The South Division will consist of the Castlegar Rebels, Creston Valley Thunder, Kelowna Chiefs, Oliver Outlaws, and the Spokane Braves.

The puck will drop on our inaugural season on Friday, September 18th, with each team playing a 44-game schedule. Teams will play 28 games against divisional opponents and 16 games against teams from the opposite division. The regular season will conclude on Sunday, February 28th, with the 2027 playoffs beginning on Friday, March 5th.

The 2026-2027 schedule will be released in the coming weeks.

🚨16U SIGNING🚨 We’re excited to officially welcome Richmond, BC Defenseman Torin Swift to the Venom HC AAA 16U team for the 2026/27 season! 🐍

Torin’s journey over the past year is a testament to his resilience and determination. After suffering a season-ending injury during evaluations last September, he battled all the way back to return for the playoffs, where he made an immediate impact with 1 goal and 4 assists in just 5 games.

At our June ID Camp, Torin continued to impress our coaching staff with his calm, intelligent style of play. His defensive awareness, clean breakouts, puck movement, and high hockey IQ stood out every time he stepped on the ice. As the camp progressed, so did his confidence, and it became clear he has the tools to become a difference-maker on the blue line.

We believe the 16U level is the perfect place for Torin to continue his development, take on a leadership role, and earn opportunities with our 19U AAA team throughout the season as he works toward his Junior and collegiate hockey goals.

🚨 16U PLAYER SIGNING 🚨 Please join us in welcoming Benjamin Bedford to the Venom HC AAA 16U program for the 2026/27 season! 🐍

The Chilliwack product joins us after an outstanding season with the Chilliwack Bruins U15 A2, where he posted 23 goals and 14 assists in 29 games.

Benjamin made a huge impression at our recent ID Camp with his complete 200-foot game, excellent skating, strong hockey IQ, and ability to both create and finish scoring opportunities. His work ethic and compete level showed exactly why he's ready to take the next step in his development.

We're excited to help Benjamin continue pursuing his goal of playing Junior hockey and can't wait to see what he'll bring to our lineup this season.
