Desert Nxau SC Technical Team Sets the Tone Ahead of the New Season ⚽🏜️
⚽ Desert Nxau SC held its second meeting with the Technical Team today as the club continues to strengthen its football structures and lay a solid foundation ahead of the upcoming season.
🤝 The meeting brought together key leadership figures, including Club Chairman Mr. B. Nsala, Supporters Chairman Mr. M. Marumoatsile, Team Technical Manager Mr. Hambira, and members of the Technical Team. The meeting provided an important platform to discuss the club’s football direction, coaching structures, player development and preparations for the new campaign.
☕ A major highlight was the formal introduction of the club’s technical leadership, with Head Coach Mooketsi “Shoes” Tshugane and Assistant Coach Charlie Seloselong officially introduced to the Desert Nxau SC football family.
📝 Team Technical Manager Mr. Hambira will play a key role in coordinating the technical department and ensuring that the club’s leadership, coaching team and football structures work together towards a common vision. His role will be central to supporting the implementation of the club’s technical programme and maintaining a professional working environment.
✍️ Head Coach Mooketsi “Shoes” Tshugane will take charge of the overall technical direction of the team, overseeing tactical preparation, player development, match strategy and discipline. His leadership will be crucial as the club works towards building a competitive squad capable of achieving its ambitions.
🥅 Assistant Coach Charlie Seloselong will focus on the development of the club’s goalkeepers, with particular attention to technical ability, positioning, shot-stopping, distribution, communication and overall match readiness.
🤝 The second technical meeting also provided an opportunity for the club leadership and technical team to strengthen their working relationship, align their vision and establish a clear roadmap for the season ahead.
🙏 The message coming out of the meeting was clear: success will require commitment, teamwork, discipline, professionalism and a strong technical foundation.
✍️ With the technical structure now taking shape, attention will shift towards the training ground, player assessment, tactical planning and implementation of the coaching team’s football philosophy.
👐 For the Desert Nxau SC faithful, the formal establishment of the technical structure represents another significant step in the club’s continued development. The leadership is determined to build a strong and organised football structure capable of delivering both stability and success on the field.
🔥 As the new season approaches, expectations will undoubtedly continue to grow among the Desert Nxau SC family.

⚽ The Tsabong Branch will serve as the main branch, with all other branches expected to report and coordinate through the main branch.

🤞 Under the “Boys to Men” brand, the vision is bigger than Tsabong. The goal is to establish a strong supporters’ network with branches across Botswana, bringing together fans who share the same passion, identity and love for Desert Nxau SC. 🇧🇼⚽

It is with heavy hearts that we announce the passing of Kopo Moipolai, a cherished member of our technical team.
Kopo was more than a Kit Manager to us, he was a source of inspiration, dedication, and passion that shaped who we are as a club.
His commitment to the game and to every player he interacted will never be forgotten. The mark he leaves behind is one of hard work, heart, and love for the sport we all share.
To the Moipolai family, his friends, teammates, and the entire football community, we share in your pain during this difficult time. Please know that the Desert Nxau SC family stands with you, today and in the days ahead.

We take this moment to extend our heartfelt gratitude to our incredible supporters and well-wishers for the unwavering love and dedication they have shown to this team throughout the 2025/2026 season.

Our players delivered brilliantly on the pitch, and their outstanding performances saw us finish the season at the top of the log, a testament to their hard work and commitment.

Unfortunately, promotion to the First Division South was not to be, as two losses and a draw proved costly in our campaign over the weekend.

However, we extend our warmest congratulations to Motaung Young Fighters on securing promotion, and we wish them every success in the First Division. We have no doubt that they will be proud ambassadors for the Western Block.
