What a great initiative to see our young athletes given the opportunity to interact, compete and learn alongside key players within the athletics community in Maun.

The Kids Athletics and Schools Competition brought together young athletes from across our local schools, creating a platform for them to showcase their potential while experiencing the excitement and competitive spirit of athletics.

The programme concluded with a meaningful engagement involving coaches, administrators, teachers and our guests from the USA. It was particularly valuable to hear insights and experiences from former athletes who have transitioned into coaching, including coaches and management from Maun Track and Field Club.

For us, this was more than just a competition. It was an opportunity to connect, exchange ideas and open doors for future collaboration.

We sincerely appreciate the ISPI USA-Botswana Exchange Programme for creating a platform that brings together the next generation of athletes and those working to build the sport around them.

We believe engagements such as these can play an important role in strengthening athletics structures in Maun and communities across the North West, while creating more opportunities for our young athletes to learn, grow and aspire. 🇧🇼🏃🏾‍♀️🏃🏾‍♂️

Together, we can build stronger pathways for the next generation.

Kemorena Tisang has once again etched his name into Botswana athletics history with a breathtaking performance at the Memoriał Czesława Cybulskiego in Poznań, Poland. The 110mH National Record holder powered his way to an incredible 48.32 in the 400m hurdles, shattering the National Record while also setting a Meeting Record.

Kemorena continues to raise the bar and showcase Botswana’s growing presence on the international stage.

Tshepiso Masalela finishes in 7/17 place of the men's 1mile race, at the ongoing Ostrava Golden Spike (Gold Meet), registering a personal best time of 3.52.07, in his European circuit opener.

Our most sincere condolences to the Thuso family, friends, and Jwaneng Athletics Club. A passionate athlete and commentator, he will always be remembered.

It is with profound sadness that Jwaneng Athletics Club announces the passing of Mr. Tumisang Abraham Thuso, affectionately known as Tallfigah, a valued member of our athletics family.

The Club extends its heartfelt condolences to his family, relatives, friends, and all who had the privilege of knowing him.

Tallfigah will be remembered for his dedication, commitment, and contribution to athletics and the development of sport within our community. His presence, leadership, and passion for the sport touched many lives and will be deeply missed.

During this difficult time, we stand in solidarity with the bereaved family and share in their grief. We pray that they find strength, comfort, and peace in the days ahead.
