National Record Alert !!

Kemorena Tisang has once again etched his name into Botswana athletics history with a breathtaking performance at the Memoriał Czesława Cybulskiego in Poznań, Poland. The 110mH National Record holder powered his way to an incredible 48.32 in the 400m hurdles, shattering the National Record while also setting a Meeting Record.

Kemorena continues to raise the bar and showcase Botswana’s growing presence on the international stage.

Tshepiso Masalela finishes in 7/17 place of the men's 1mile race, at the ongoing Ostrava Golden Spike (Gold Meet), registering a personal best time of 3.52.07, in his European circuit opener.

It is with profound sadness that Jwaneng Athletics Club announces the passing of Mr. Tumisang Abraham Thuso, affectionately known as Tallfigah, a valued member of our athletics family.

The Club extends its heartfelt condolences to his family, relatives, friends, and all who had the privilege of knowing him.

Tallfigah will be remembered for his dedication, commitment, and contribution to athletics and the development of sport within our community. His presence, leadership, and passion for the sport touched many lives and will be deeply missed.

During this difficult time, we stand in solidarity with the bereaved family and share in their grief. We pray that they find strength, comfort, and peace in the days ahead.

Gaborone City Tour Meet, UB Stadium - 23rd May 2026

​We had a massive personal best for Lebitso Mokorofu as she dipped under 24 seconds for the first time in her 200m career with a time of 23.65.

​Lebitso has been consistently breaking her own records each season a true reflection of her hard work and resilience.

​Her previous PB was 24.09 seconds, which she ran at the Debswana BAA National Championships on the 4th of April 2026, placing her 14th on the all-time national list. Her new time propels her into the top 10 of the all-time national 200m list, which is currently topped by Tsaone Sebele with a time of 22.84 seconds.

​She ran an aggressive race over the first 100m bend and powered all the way to the finish line. She is on the right track to achieve greatness, and we commend the team behind her under the guidance of Coach Dose Mosimanyane.

​She also recently competed at the 2026 World Relays in the 4x400m women's and mixed relays.
