WITHDRAWAL FROM THE HONORABLE WYNTER MMOLOTSI WARD TOURNAMENT

Ghetto Warriors Social Club would like to officially announce our immediate withdrawal from the ongoing Wynter Mmolotsi Ward Tournament.

This decision was not taken lightly. Following the events of our recent matches, the club has raised serious concerns regarding the standard of officiating, game management and a number of questionable decisions that have, in our view, consistently worked against Ghetto Warriors throughout the tournament.

Our concerns include what we believe to be poor and inconsistent officiating, questionable calls during crucial moments of matches, and decisions that have significantly affected the team's ability to compete fairly.

The latest incident involved a highly questionable red card shown to our captain during the game, Katlego Sage, a decision that further intensified concerns that the team management and players have held since the beginning of the tournament.

We have attempted to address these concerns through the appropriate channels. However, after the tournament's organising committee failed to provide a satisfactory resolution to the issues raised, the team management and players collectively reached the decision to withdraw from the competition.

Ghetto Warriors Social Club believes strongly in fair competition, respect, accountability and the integrity of the game. While we respect the tournament, its participating teams and supporters, we cannot continue participating in an environment where we feel that these principles are not being upheld.

We sincerely apologise to our supporters, fellow teams and everyone who may be inconvenienced by this decision. We remain grateful for the unwavering support you continue to show Ghetto Warriors Social Club.

We will not allow this setback to define us.
Our focus now shifts to our next objective: hosting our own tournament on Saturday, 12 September 2026.
