The incredible opportunity to host this international event has been realized by The Bahamas Archery Federation, The Bahamas Olympic Committee and the Ministry of Youth, Sports and Culture as a means of promoting the sport of archery and enhancing sports tourism.
Inclusive of The BAF’s strategic plan for the 2024-2028 quadrennial is the development of programs that focuses on youth and para archery. Facilitation of this project will also encourage persons within our communities with disabilities to explore the sport. The Bahamas currently has four (4) para archers – 1 under 21 female and three adults who are eligible to participate at this event.

This course is designed to meet the goal of allowing the participants to acquire knowledge on rules and procedures, skills to carry out their role as judges at national events, as well as the values and attitudes they must show when they officiate.
It has been prepared for individuals who want to become national judges.
This course can be a component of each National Federation’s judge education program.
Attending the course and passing the test does not automatically allow a participant to become a National Judge, as each national federation may have set additional requisites which may include experience at events, among others. The title of National Judge is granted by each National Federation and not by World Archery Americas.
The Bahamas Archery Federation wishes to CONGRATULATE our delegation of seventeen participants across our recognized member clubs that completed the World Archery Americas National Judge Seminar & Exams.
As archery in The Bahamas continues to expand in reach and reputation, the Bahamas Archery Federation is proud to celebrate the efforts of a dedicated group of Bahamian archers and officials who began the journey to certification as National Judges through World Archery Americas’ Online National Judges’ Course.
🗓️ The course, which began in January 2025, included several weeks of study, training modules, and official rulebook reviews—culminating in a comprehensive examination in April 2025.
Why This Matters:
Judges play a critical role in the integrity and ex*****on of competitions, ensuring athletes are supported by fair play and proper procedures. The success of our Bahamian cohort signals a strong future for locally officiated tournaments and opens doors for more international certification opportunities.
🌟 We applaud every participant for taking this important step in their archery journey and contributing to the foundation of excellence we are building here in The Bahamas.
