🌊

I’ve never said it this clearly before.
But today is the day I speak it out loud:
I’ve stepped away from the sport.
I didn’t walk away because of the pain.
Not because of the car crash.
Not because of the concussions.
All of that was part of the journey, yes — but none of it was what stopped me.
The truth is, I left for something much quieter, much more personal.
For a feeling that doesn’t come all at once, but settles in slowly, day by day.
A feeling that you’re no longer yourself in the place where you fought for so long.
That something inside begins to whisper:
“You don’t have to keep going just because you once started.”
This decision wasn’t weakness.
It wasn’t running away.
It was the courage to admit that I’ve changed.
That my path is calling me elsewhere.
That I no longer want to prove — I want to feel.
Letting go doesn’t always mean giving up.
Sometimes it means choosing yourself.
And that’s what I did.
I chose me.
Without guilt. Without explanation. Without the drama of an ending.
Just with the quiet certainty that I’m ready to move forward…
in my own way.
Thank you.
To every person who believed in me before I believed in myself.
To the teams who reached out their hands.
To the sponsors who stood behind me — not just in victories, but in the silence between them.
To the fans who followed me with their eyes, who understood me without words.
And to those who found the courage to begin their own journey because of mine.
You carry a piece of my heart. You always will.
And to all those who live through sport today, who burn for it,
who are reborn after every fall —
protect that love. Feed it. Care for it.
It’s not just physical. It’s soul in motion.
And if one day life calls you somewhere else — allow yourself to go.
But while you’re still in it — love it with everything you’ve got.
Thank you, much love ❤️

First time on the bike after my car accident in one of the Bulgarian bike parks! 🥹
Getting back to it it's a way of healing myself from things I had no control over in the past. I took quite a long, much needed break from everything. 🙏 I'm happy with my life right now. I just have my moments. But the good out weights the bad and I realise how blessed I'm to be alive. ✨
