💜 A Note from Elly
As a Senior Social Worker in the Weddin Shire, I created our Women’s Empowerment Program to provide a safe, supportive space where women can come together, connect, grow and feel empowered.
As a Senior Social Worker in the Weddin Shire, I have found over the years that group work often brings people together who may otherwise feel isolated.
It has been wonderful to see the positive impact this program is having, with women building confidence, stepping outside their comfort zones, reconnecting with their strength and recognising the power they have within themselves to create positive change.
Initially, the Womens Empowerment program was developed for community members who have/or are experiencing Domestic Violence. I then decided to change the focus women who have experienced trauma, difficult times, or could benefit from attending for a whole range of reasons.
The program has amazing presenters who enable the participants to step out of their comfort zone, in a safe environment
A heartfelt thank you to the beautiful Nell Canellis for sharing her knowledge, heart and healing with our women. ✨ Your workshop created such a meaningful and supportive space, and the feedback from the women has been incredibly positive. They left feeling empowered, inspired, supported and more confident in themselves — and are already looking forward to the next one.
