To say I've caught a fish on a lure I've designed and tested has been one of the highlights of my life, getting closer and closer to my goal and I hope to announce more soon!

Some more trial shapes in the works, I still can't believe how much even a slight tweak can affect the action of a lure, especially when you're talking stickbaits

Sneak peak at some soon to be swimming poppers, big things to some throughout the trial period watch this space!

The 3 stick bait prototypes I have been working on currently, getting slower and closer to trial runs, with wires now inserted, photos to come in the coming days

Been quiet a while between posts but that doesn't mean the work stops

Been quiet a wet week and its finally given me the chance to put some serious time into the blanks and finally see some serious results, more photos on the way but here's a pic of my makeshift drying rack where I apply the sanding sealer which waterproofs the wood

And yes that's a rod being used as a rack 😂😉

The shear about of wood shavings I have left over always stuns me, really makes you think bout how much work actually goes into forming those smooth lines 🤯

Since kicking off my next adventure I've noticed it's best to suit your terminals to your blank before completing, and match it to the fish weight class you're after, as I'm focusing on the mighty GT I'll need the best gear available, through wire construction and solid shapes to insure the only thing broken is the fish's sprit.
