ONE MORE AT HOME ❤️💙

Our Seniors take the field for the final time in 2026 this Sunday, against Bulleen, and we want to send the Alamein Angels out with a big Alamein crowd behind them.

It’s set to be a huge day at Dorothy Laver, with seven Alamein teams playing at home across the day before our Seniors take centre stage at 3pm.

Come early. Stay late. Bring the family. Make some noise.

And come hungry!! We’ll have chicken gyros served in fresh, crusty rolls, or go the GSP snack pack, thanks to our valued sponsor ASA Building Consultants . Plus Kathy’s famous brownies and the full Alamein canteen offering throughout the day.

Then at 3pm, let’s get around our Seniors and bring them home with the noise, energy and support they deserve.

YOUNG CLUB PERSON OF THE YEAR!!

Ella Kerrigan took home a major award on Wednesday night at Boroondara’s 2026 Sport Awards. The award is for the young person (under 25) across all sporting clubs located in Boroondara Council who adds the most significant value to their club.

We all know Ella as not only a fantastic young player and vice-captain of our Under 20s NPLW team, but also as a fantastic leader and coach of our emerging U12 Academy team. At only 16 years of age, Ella has been coaching for 3 years and makes all of her players feel incredibly supported while preparing them for the next chapter of their football journey. She embodies what it means to be an Alamein member, conducting herself with integrity and passion in all her endeavours, and unifying the players around her as both a coach and player.

As a club, we have been incredibly proud to see Ella develop from the 12 year old player she joined us as to the leader on and off field she has become today.

𝗔𝗹𝗮𝗺𝗲𝗶𝗻 𝗙𝗖 𝗶𝘀 𝘁𝗵𝗲 𝗼𝗻𝗹𝘆 𝗮𝗹𝗹-𝗳𝗲𝗺𝗮𝗹𝗲 𝗰𝗹𝘂𝗯 𝗶𝗻 𝗩𝗶𝗰𝘁𝗼𝗿𝗶𝗮 𝗼𝗳𝗳𝗲𝗿𝗶𝗻𝗴 𝗮 𝗰𝗼𝗺𝗽𝗹𝗲𝘁𝗲 𝗽𝗮𝘁𝗵𝘄𝗮𝘆 from the mini-roos right through the junior and senior NPL.

Our program aims to develop talent and reward hard work. This season, five junior players made their Senior Squad debuts. With numerous junior players involved in TIDC, and selections in TDS games across three different age groups, Alamein FC has a pathway that is closely connected with Football Victoria’s elite pathways.

We are proud of our positive and inclusive culture, built on the foundations of our values of passion, unity and integrity. We are looking for female players who embody these values, demonstrate strong skills, and have a drive to develop and improve.

Congratulations to one of Alamein’s wonderful interns, Alexia ♡. Alexia is a uni student and intends to pursue a career in sports journalism. She has been helping our club with both content and culture all year and is a beloved member of the Alamein family.

Last week Alexia was invited by Football Victoria to help cover the FV Nike FC Cup Final, and this is one of her pieces. (We will share a link in our Stories). We predict you’ll be hearing plenty more from Alexia in the future!

Last week we were delighted to watch Priya Archdeacon and Mila Ralph, both key parts of our Senior NPLW squad, take part in the Football Australia Talent Development Scheme U19 game.

The game was observed by Young Matildas coach, Alex Epakis, and is used as a part of the identification process for future Young Matildas squads.

We are very proud of both players who have been at Alamein for several years now, coming through our junior teams and now featuring in our Senior team!

We were also excited to see another familiar face, Anna Liacopoulos, who was the central referee for the fixture. All three members of our senior team are thriving, no matter what team they are on!
