INTRODUCING OUR ATHLETE OF THE WEEK 🌟

We are kicking off something new this season. Each competition night our age managers pick one female and one male Athlete of the Week, and both winners take home a Coles gift card.

It is not always about who crosses the line first. It is about effort, attitude, sportsmanship and having a go.

Our Week 3 winners:

⭐ Bailey Bennett, U10 Girls
For her enthusiasm to learn and for putting in 110% effort every week.

⭐ Jax Gersbach, 13 Years+
For outstanding effort, great sportsmanship and setting a great example for the younger athletes.

Congratulations Bailey and Jax. Your certificates and gift cards will be presented at the track.

Dinner is sorted! The canteen is running a $6 Meal Deal at Little Athletics tonight:

All for just $6. Cash and card accepted.

📝 PLEASE PRE-ORDER: when you arrive, head to the canteen and order and pay for your meal deals before competition starts. That way we know exactly how many to cook and nobody misses out.

Every dollar goes straight back into our club.

What a way to start the season! Thank you to every family who came along to Rygate Park last night for our first competition night of 2026/27. It was fantastic to see so many familiar faces back on the oval and so many new ones giving Little Athletics NSW a go for the first time.

And the season opened with a bang: Acadia Burn (Zoe Burn) broke the U16 girls javelin record on night one, throwing 28.35m, even further than the throw that broke her girls 15s school record. Congratulations Acadia, and good luck at state athletics this week. All of Wellington is behind you!
