“In the end, only three things matter: how much you loved, how gently you lived, and how gracefully you let go of things not meant for you.” ~ Gautama Buddha
Grateful to have found a practice that so lovingly guides one out of the turmoil of the head and settles one back into the recesses of the heart, where this wisdom awaits and forever echos ✨
Happy International Yoga Day to our KAI YOGA community. What a joy it is to share the practice of with you all!

It's easy (and quite natural!) to feel inert and foggy during the cooler months.
According to Ayurveda, it is normal to feel inert during Winter due to the season's dominant qualities of coldness and heaviness, which align with the Kapha dosha. This dosha is associated with lethargy and sluggishness, naturally influencing our energy levels and mood. Winter's shorter daylight hours and colder temperatures also contribute to a tendency to conserve energy, resulting in a slower, more reflective state of being.
Mindful movement can be the perfect antidote. During this time, its important to adapt and move with receptivity so we don't stagnate within. A dynamic, warming yoga class can be a powerful way to shift the sluggishness or perhaps a quiet Yin practice to help stimulate the lungs and heart channels. Whatever your palette, we believe things don't have to come to a complete stand-still in Winter. Instead a gentle tweak to how you practice in order to honour this season of introspection can help keep you light and keep those Kapha-calamities at bay.

Everything that happens to us has the potential to deepen us. But we must empower our perspective.

Hello KAI YOGA family, we have some news to share with you 🤍
After many years of fostering such a special community, centered around family, kindness and wellness, we have made the heartfelt decision to step away. It’s been an incredible journey of 8 years, filled with growth, learning, and countless moments of connection with each and every member who walked through our doors. Many of you know, Fraser and I relocated to the South Coast a few years ago. We feel the impact of the distance from our Mosman hub.
But as they say, the Universe works in mysterious ways. With the news of the proposed demolition, we were swiftly catapulted into a conundrum - to keep what we love because it’s safe and what we know, or find the courage to let go and give way for new beginnings? Holding each of you, our Mosman community, in our hearts, more than you might know, the decision has not been easy.
As we reflect on the memories created and the transformations witnessed, we are overwhelmed with gratitude for the support and dedication of our students and divine teaching team. You guys absolutely rock! We are forever grateful for you choosing us, sharing your practice with us, your stories, your sweat, smiles & tears! Thanks for so graciously putting up with our bad jokes, our inability to count and those hectic sequences 😅 We are not teachers without you & you guys sure know how to bring the magic to Mosman...
.. Which is why we are committed to keeping this magic alive! So without further ado, we are so pleased to share the exciting news and introduce you to the new custodians of the KAI YOGA Community - the delightful Alex Cogley and Martina Carosi.
You are no stranger to these exceptional women! And we know Alex and Martina will not only maintain but upgrade the spirit of our studio with the same love, passion, and dedication that has defined it for so long.
As we embark on this new chapter, we invite you to embrace change with open hearts, knowing that the essence of what made this space special will continue to thrive under new stewardship.
For now, Fraser and I will be teaching our regular classes until end of July. So plenty more practices to shared! 🙏🏼

Sending love for Mother’s Day 🌷
Sharing Motherhood stories has been a saving grace for me during the wild ride of mumming a couple of vibrant kiddos with big feelings 😮💨
I asked one of our super-mum teachers, M A R T I N A some questions around conscious parenting. Read on for her heart reflections ❤️
What tip would you give a new mother/parent?
Trust your village!!! Your baby loves your tribe just as much as your tribe loves your baby… have that nap/massage/yoga class while someone you trust cuddles your little one.
What do you do to fill your own cup?
My trifectas: balanced yin & yang yoga practice. Ocean swims, any weather, any temperature. And long walks in nature with my beagle Stella.
What is your favourite activity you like to share with your children?
Play in nature: snorkelling, bush walking, clay sculpture making, lying on the grass finding shapes in the clouds…
How do you let go of reaction if your beloved children push your buttons?!
Oooohhhh this is a big one. A mantra that helps me is “my child is not being a problem, is having a problem”. Compassion and stepping out of my wounded ego are the tools I find most useful. However… sometimes I do allow myself to have that reaction! Then we talk about what happened, because it’s ok to make mistakes as long as we learn something new about ourselves through them.
Do you have any favourite mothering/parenting podcasts that are inspiring you at the moment?
The most remarkable book (which should come with every firstborn) is “Hold on to your Kids” by Gabor Mate.
