Western Sydney Rugby League Academy

As we navigate our way out of lockdown, we are still awaiting advice on when group sporting activities can resume.

Nevertheless, WSRLA is ready to resume operations as soon as restrictions are lifted. We anticipate that our programs will commence in the first week of November, subject to the Public Health Orders applicable at the time.

We will be releasing all information regarding our program schedule in the next couple of weeks, and will open up registrations accordingly. We will also be sharing some very exciting news concerning our coaches for this year.

We are extremely proud to announce that 2021 Academy attendee Josh Hanlon has agreed to join Mounties in the 2022 Rugby League season. This will be a stepping stone into the Canterbury Bulldogs for Josh and we are so excited for him.

Academy final session... it has been an honour spending three months working with these wonderful young athletes and seeing them progress so far. Until the next one!

A big thank you to Craig Wilson, and the Canterbury-Bankstown Bulldogs for coming down to the academy and conducting the session yesterday.

The part-theory and part-practical session definitely provided the boys and girls an insight into what it takes and what is required to make it into the big league.

Wests Tigers Luciano Leilua paid a visit to our senior academy last night and shared some wisdom into what it takes to be an NRL player. He also enlightened the players with some skill tips and question and answer session.

This is a message to all Western Sydney Rugby League Academy Players, Members, Sponsors and Supporters.

We wanted to take this opportunity to thank everyone who has been a part of our inaugural Western Sydney Rugby League Academy. The Academy has already created a wave of interest throughout the community, but more importantly the testing results have shown a dramatic increase in fitness and speed. We have also seen an improvement in player skills right across the age groups.

January will be very exciting for the Academy with some very good guest coaches being involved and the Canterbury Bulldogs also conducting a session.

Have a safe and happy holiday period from all of us at The Western Sydney Rugby League Academy. The coaches, staff and management are all looking forward to seeing everyone in 2021 and making this last leg of the Academy the absolute best. And it will be!
