🎥 In this video, the instructor is commenting on every single shot — and that’s such an important part of teaching the Baseline Drop.
Players need to learn not only how to hit the drop, but also when it’s the right time to move forward after it.
One of the most common mistakes is players hitting a drop and automatically rushing to the kitchen, even when the drop wasn’t good enough to allow them to advance safely.
That’s why constant feedback during drills is so valuable.
The coach is helping players recognise:
✔ Was the drop effective enough?
✔ Did it force the opponents upward?
✔ Is it safe to move forward?
✔ Or should the player stay back and reset again?
Good Pickleball is about decision making, not just shot making. 🧠🏓
