Pop Up Class - Floor Tricks w/ Sophie R

This Daturday, July 11th, 10.00 am, roght after Pole Jam. Freestanding Casual class, all levels welcome.

About this class:

Floor Tricks
Ready to get low and explore the art of floorwork? In this class, we break down classic floor-based tricks often seen in pole choreography and performance, helping you build control, fluidity, and confidence as you glide, roll, and slink across the floor.

Expect a slower, skill-focused pace where we unpack individual floorwork tricks and techniques — think leg waves, kneespins, candlesticks, floor jades, kick-ups, and shoulder rolls. We’ll also explore tips that help bring these moves to life so they feel smooth, intentional, and expressive.

Throughout the class, we’ll begin linking tricks into short combinations to see how individual skills flow together in choreography, freestyles, or performance routines.

Perfect for beginners wanting to learn the foundations of floorwork, or dancers looking to refine technique and level up their floor game.

Socks or heels are recommended for sliding and transitions. Knee pads are a must (bring your own or borrow some at the studio).
