Young Guns Junior Drag Racing Series

It’s all action this weekend.
Big fields of junior racers at Sydney and Willowbank as well as 5 racers at Roma

Points are up and will make for an interesting final round at Palmyra. It is only the top third of the list of dragsters, it was getting a bit big.
3rd of October will decide the series winners of each bracket.
If the last Benaraby round was anything to go by it will take a massive effort to to grab a win and will be at a track a number of racers have not raced at. Looking forward to it

Round 4, 3rd October, Palmyra Dragway

Another Saturday and juniors are hitting the track. A couple of different events this weekend, good luck to the juniors at the all bike day and those at the Taree invitational. Also for any one else hitting the track, enjoy 😊

Well, what a weekend of racing. 6 bikes and 13 dragsters arrived at the track with perfect weather for racing.

For the bikes, apologies I did quite keep up with the day’s progress but no doubt there was some tough racing

The dragster racing was impressive, 0.0xx lights everywhere. After qualifying, we were down to 12 after Heidi’s new car decided it would give Heidi a PB in a big way, but putting her on the trailer for going too quick.
After 2 rounds of racing, only Maxx Rowling had 2 from 2 so leaving 11 racers to put their best race together to claim a finals birth. After round 3 , Maxx and Cody Sedmak had their names called for the final.
A 0.001 red from Cody handed Maxx the win topping off an impressive display of Junior racing.

The volunteers down the deep end also made comment as to how happy, polite and respectful all the kids were after the races, so a real credit to the drivers and their teams.

Thanks to Benaraby for accommodating us for the series, it’s greatly appreciated.
Also thank you to the Junior teams for making the journey to the track. You guys and girls are the show.

Points will be updated once the staff recover from the weekend and send through the wins/losses.

Onto the final round at Palmyra on October 3, the Kings birthday long weekend where series winners will be crowned. Palmyra is a great regional track. Well worth the trip if you have never raced there before.
