Entries are now open for Nationals (28 April – 2 May) at the Brisbane Aquatic Centre — and yes, it will be here before you can say “take your marks!”
It’s going to be a great week of racing, wrapping up with a celebration in the Sky Room & Terrace, overlooking the Brisbane River and the city skyline 🌆🥂
Already 100+ extremely organised people have entered. Honestly… how do they do it?? 🤯
A gentle word of warning for the undecided: some events do sell out (remember the 800m freny at Pan Pacs?). Imagine the heartbreak if the 25m freestyle sold out before you entered. Devastating. Absolutely devastating. 😱😭
And if “hanging out in the marshalling room with Cam McEvoy” is on your bucket list — well, this is your moment.

🏊♂️ Ipswich Grammar Masters LC Swim Meet – Saturday 17 January 2026 🏊♂️
Results are rolling in and Dan and Stephen have officially connected. All reports confirm: both are nice guys 😄
Dan was happy with his 50 Free and declared the 50 Fly a work in progress (we’ve heard this before…). He’s still got the 100 Free to come, so watch this space 👀
Stephen proved Christmas didn’t completely undo him, touching the wall in the 100m Breaststroke just 0.5 off his PB — impressive this early in the year! 👏
Stephen reckons the 50s were a bit off pace… but then again, the general consensus from the Masters community - Fast-twitch fibres are still in holiday mode, not race mode.
Good news though — Miami Meet is 5 weeks away, which is plenty of time to remind our arms and legs how to move quickly again. 🔥
Special mention to new Masters swimmer Dan, who had a great time and is keen to race more. Sounds like he’s been bitten by that Masters race bug. 💥
Next stop: Miami – 21 February.

Dan is lining up for the 50 Free, 50 Fly and 100 Free, while Stephen is ready to put those Christmas Chinese swim camp gains to the test in the 50 Free, 50 Breast and 100 Breast 💪🇨🇳

We’ll be cheering you on from the couch (very loudly 😄), and can’t wait to hear how it all went, see the pics and check out those times.
