Some people will brave the water in winter, but most sane people avoid it when it's cold.
If you are the latter, the Central Coast Coldwater Classic will be your chance to brave the chills and dunk yourself in the waters of Terrigal Beach or The Haven in the middle of Winter at sundown.
It's not an ocean swim - you'll just have to charge into the water and get your hair wet. After that you can flee back up onto the beach and warm yourself up as best you can.
It's going to be an unofficial, unsanctioned, uninsured and unreal event, but we might have a local charity coming along with a collection tin and if they just happen to get a gold coin donation off anyone taking part in the Coldwater Classic then so be it.
