What an amazing weekend we had at Hills Off Road RC for the 5th round of the 2026 NSWRL presented by Campbelltown Hobbies and RPM Hobbies
123 entries made for some stiff competition in all classes with some very close and exciting racing!
Despite mother nature trying her best to ruin the day, we got through with only a couple of light sprinkles to keep the moisture in the track.
2wd Junior
We had 6 total entries for this round of the NSWRL. Coming from as far as orange, it was good to see the next generation duking it out for the win. In qualifying it was Cooper De Bono taking TQ with a 33.558 ahead of Hassan Omar with a 33.843 and Samuel Marci with a 34.066. A main #1 saw Samuel take the win after Hassan had issues whilst in the lead. Cooper came home 2nd after an amazing comeback drive after an few early mistakes. Young Alex Welch would finish 3rd. A2 Hassan Omar took the win, Cooper in 2nd and Samuel in 3rd. All three driver pretty evenly spread. A3 saw another close battle between Cooper and Hassan with less then two seconds between them at the end. Samuel in 3rd. Overall it would be Cooper De Bono 1st, Samuel Marci 2nd and Hassan Omar 3rd.
2wd Stock
A super deep field contested this event with 36 total entries battling it out for supremacy. Qualifying was close with the top 6 drivers separated by less than 1 second. In the end is was Bradd Vercoe with the TQ time of 30.727, Glenn Welch 2nd with a 30.881 and Nathaniel White 3rd with a 31.162. A1 saw Brad take a comfortable win over Lachlan Williams in 2nd and Glenn in 3rd. The drizzle in A2, plus a reverse grid really changed things up! Scott Hill took the win with Zachery Davidson taking 2nd and Glenn Welch snagging 3rd. A3 saw Nathaniel white take the win ahead of Lachlan and Bradd. Overall it would be Nathaniel White 1st, Lachlan Williams 2nd and Bradd Vercoe in 3rd.
2wd Modified
Not a massive field, but we had arguably the two best 10th scale drivers in the country show up to face off! Lachlan Donnelly took out Qualifying with a 29.098 ahead of Jarod Ment with a 29.163 and Peter Seckold with a 30.247. Lachlan took out A1 ahead of Jarod and Peter further behind in 3rd. A2 was the same order as A1, with Lachlan, Jarod and Peter the top 3. A3 was another win for Donnelly with Ment again 2nd and Sean Tilley in 3rd. Overall it would be Lachlan Donnelly 1st, Jarod Ment 2nd and Peter Seckold 3rd.
4wd Stock
Another Hotly contested class with 39 total entries for the weekend. Qualifying was again close, with the top 9 separated by roughly 1 second! This time it was Nathaniel white with the TQ time of 28.287 ahead of Lachlan Williams with a 28.456 and Glenn Welch 3rd with a 28.696. Bradd took out A1 roughly 0.5 seconds up on Lachlan after a late race battle between the two, and Glenn Welch in 3rd. A2 was Nathaniel taking the win in slipper conditions ahead of Bradd in 2nd and Scott Hill 3rd. A3 was another mix up of results with Lachlan taking the win ahead of Scott in 2nd and Bradd in 3rd. Overall it would be Lachlan Williams 1st, Bradd Veroce 2nd and Scott Hill 3rd.
4wd Modified
Much the same as 2wd, Lachlan Donnelly took TQ with a time of 26.193 with Jarod Ment in 2nd with a 26.836 and Peter Seckold in 3rd with a 27.692. A1 was Lachlan 1st, Jarod 2nd and Sean Tilley in 3rd. A2 was Jarod in 1st taking it to Donnelly to avoid the clean sweep. Lachlan in 2nd and Sean again 3rd. A3 was another epic race. With early contact between Ment and Donnelly dropping Donnelly down the order, he pushed hard and came back to grab the win ahead of Ment and Riley Lander-West in 3rd. Overall it would be Lachlan Donnelly 1st, Jarod Ment 2nd and Sean Tilley 3rd.
2wd Vintage
A full heat of vintage was awesome to watch! Various cars from different eras all battling it out on the track. Scott Griffiths took TQ with a 33.647, Jeff Primmer in 2nd with a 33.674 super close behind. And 3rd it was Devon Middleditch with a 33.998. A1 finishing order was Jeff 1st, William Victorsen 2nd and Samuel Marci 3rd. In A2 it was Samuel 1st, Jeff 2nd and Devon in 3rd. A3 was Jeff taking the win, Scott in 2nd and Simon Shaw in 3rd. Overall the order was Jeff Primmer 1st, Samuel Marci 2nd and Scott Griffiths 3rd.
Truck
We had a good mix of Stadium and Short Course trucks this weekend! So it was a battle to see which is better…. Callan Rockall took TQ with a 35.220 ahead of Marcos Sewter with a 35.560 and Stuart McMahon with a 35.624. Stuart took out A1 ahead of Simone Shaw in 2nd and Callan in 3rd. A2 was Marcos taking the win ahead of Callan and Simon in 2nd and 3rd respectively. A3 was Callan in 1st John Lockrey in 2nd and Stuart McMahon in 3rd. Overall, it was Callan Rockall 1st, Stuart McMahon 2nd and Simon Shaw in 3rd.
It was an absolutely amazing weekend in Sydney's Hills District and the track help up very well to the large number of entries and inclement weather. We cannot thank everyone enough for their help!
Special mention to Michael Stone for jumping on the Mic to help race direct most of the day and to Nick Aiken for running scrutineering!

Only a few days until we hit the track at Hills for the 5th round of the 2026 NSWRL presented by Campbelltown Hobbies and RPM hobbies.
We have hit 125 entries!
Class limits have been updated due to the demand for other classes.
Mod is now limited to only 1 heat of 12. Stock has increased to 40 and 4wd vintage has been dropped entirely.
Better get your entry in ASAP to avoid missing out!

We had an absolutely amazing weekend at Batemans Bay Radio Control Club Inc for the 4th round of the 2026 NSWRL presented by Campbelltown Hobbies and RPM Hobbies .
With the track literally only a stone’s throw away from the beach, we had crisp fresh air and laid-back beach vibes all weekend!
The club put on an amazing event with a fantastic canteen menu and also a live stream for all to enjoy!
Let’s get into the racing!
2wd Junior:
We didn’t have enough entries to run a separate class for them, but our juniors all competed in the 2wd Stock class. We took their overall results to make the final Junior podium. Overall, it would be Callan Rockall in 1st and Finn Aiken in 2nd place.
2wd Stock:
Scott Hill was the fastest out of the gates taking Qualifying by a slim margin with a 24.050 ahead of Callan Rockall with a 24.175 and Cam Sautelle with a 24.561. Scott would narrowly win A1 by less than 1 second ahead of Paul Shannon, who put on a late charge to close in and try a last corner pass. 3rd was Cam Sautelle. In A2 Cam worked his way to the front to take the win, getting a victory lap with Scott and Paul rounding out the top 3. A3 saw Scott take the win ahead of Paul and Cam. The overall Result would be Scott Hiill 1st, Cam Sautelle 2nd and Paul Shannon 3rd.
2wd Mod:
Qualifying would see Ari Bakla, making his 2026 NSWRL debut, take pole with a 21.587 ahead of Jarod ment with a 21.668 and Logan Rinotul with a 22.863. Jarod took A1 a few seconds ahead of Bakla and Peter Seckold further back in 3rd. A2 Saw Jarod take another close win by a couple of seconds over Ari, with Peter again 3rd. The last race was the closest finish in NSWRL ever! Ari snuck by on the line to take the win by 0.014 seconds over Ment. Seckold further back in 3rd again. Overall it would be Ari Bakla 1st, thanks to his hot lap bonus points, Jarod Ment 2nd and Peter Seckold 3rd.
4wd Stock:
Scott Hill took out the double TQ with a 21.819 result ahead of Cam Sautelle with a 21.933 and Paul Shannon with a 21.974. A1 would go the way of Cam, taking a comfortable win over Scott and Paul in 3rd. A2 was a near identical result, just a larger gap between all the top three. A3 saw our first shake up. Cam Still took the win, but Paul was close behind in 2nd and Scott in 3rd not far back either. Overall, the order was Cam Sautelle 1st, Scott Hill 2nd and Paul Shannon 3rd.
4wd Mod:
Jarrod Struck back at Ari and took pole with an 18.962 over Ari’s 19.202 and Peter Seckold in 3rd with a 20.169. A1 saw Ment take a massive win over Seckold in 2nd and Ari in 3rd after he broke his car early. A2 Ari would strike back, taking the win just in front of Ment and seckold a bit further away. A3 saw Jarod take another win, Peter again in 2nd and Ari dropping to 3rd after a number of mistakes. Overall, it was Jarod Ment 1st, Ari Bakla 2nd and Peter Seckold 3rd.
1/10th Truck
Local drivers Andrew Kuzmins and Daniel hammers took out the top 2 qualifying spots with a 24.636 and 25.274 respectively. Nick Poole in 3rd with 25.907. Andrew and Dan would take 1st and 2nd respectively in all three finals. With Callan Rockall Scoring two 3rds and Nick Poole the other. Overall, it would be Andrew Kuzmins 1st, Daniel Hammers 2nd, and Callan Rockall 3rd.
2wd Vintage
Veteran racer Jeff Primmer took out pole position with a 25.159 ahead of Zac Davidson with a 25.815 and Scott Griffiths with a 26.120. A1 was Zac taking the win ahead of Scott and Ben Trinder after Jeff had a minor issue. A2 was Scott and Jeff battling close with Zac not too far behind, with that being the finishing order. A3 saw Jeff finally take a win ahead of Zac and Scott. Overall, it was Zac Davidson 1st, Scott Griffiths 2nd and Jeff Primmer 3rd.
We cannot thank the Batemans Bay club enough for hosting us! Not to mention On Track RC media taking some amazing photos and providing an incredible live stream.
We are not far away from the 5th round at Hills Off Road RC , so be sure to get your entry in and not miss out!
