Croquet New South Wales

Congratulations go to Susan Bryan [Sawtell], winner of the 2026 NSW GC Advantage Singles Championship.
This event was held over 3-days in the Northern Rivers area across the three host clubs of Lismore, Byron Bay and Cherry Street Ballina.
Weather was mixed, but the hardy participants played on through.
Susan Bryan [Sawtell] and Alastair Torrance [Newcastle National Park] made it to the finals; they played out to the 3rd game of the best-of-three match, with Susan the eventual winner.
The tournament would not be possible without many volunteers who assisted throughout.

The countdown is on to the 2026 AC World Team Championship Tier 1 - the 'MacRobertson Shield' event, being held in England between 24 July and 9 August 2026.
MacRobertson Shield 100th Celebration - this is the 101st year since the event was first held.

All eyes are on the lawns in preparation for the Association Croquet World Team Championship 2026. The latest news is in from George Noble at Surbiton Croquet Club reporting lawn speeds of up to 11.60 seconds, with a cutting height of 5mm.

This won't be just a battle between countries, this will be a battle of player vs court.

All locations welcome spectators, come and watch some world class croquet.

Series 1: 24-28 July Roehampton & Hurlingham
Series 2: 30 July -3 August Sussex County CC
Series 3: 5-9 August Surbiton

Congratulations go to Donna & Stewart Sinclair [Port Macquarie], winners of the 2026 NSW GC Advantage Doubles tournament held at Ballina Cherry Croquet Club, 08-09 July 2026.
The final was a close game, with Donna & Stewart winning 63% to 43% (to Target Score) against Wendy Gilmore & Dianne Maloney [Ballina Cherry Street / Sutherland].
Congratulations to all those participating in the tournament, all the volunteers, and host clubs Lismore, Byron Bay, Ballina Cherry Street.

Joanne Brown wins the 2026 NSW AC Women's Open Championship. This event was played at Mosman Croquet Club, 18-21 June.
The final Bo3 match between Joanne Brown and Kate McLoughlin was close, with both winning a game each. In the third game Joanne achieved the winning score of 19-12.

Winner of the Plate was Julie Toms (Canberra).

Meet the NSW GC ISS Team for 2026.
The Golf Croquet Interstate Shield (ISS) is a national team's event played annually between the States. This year, the ISS will be played at the Victorian Croquet Centre at Cairnlea, from 9-13 September 2026. We wish all members of the team the best in their endeavours in Victoria in September.
