We are pleased to advise that we are intending on nominating a juniors Under 11's team this year for Orange District Junior Cricket.
Our same approach to cricket in seniors will also be for the juniors, making it about having fun, challenging yourself and enjoying this sport that we love.

AAAAND we are back for 2026-2027 Season!

Its time for another season of swinging, missing the pitch and having a laugh in the sun with a couple of brews with some good, social, country cricket.

As always, our goal as a club is to play the game but keep it light, fun, and welcoming. All ages are welcome.

Registrations are now live as we prepare for the upcoming Men's season!
We are intending to nominate for the Men's grades set out below. If you're new or coming back to cricket, don't worry we've got you, each team has a fully equipped kit and playing shirts are provided as part of registration.

If you aren't sure what grade would fit you best, here's a quick guide, but you can always reach out to us to answer any queries:

2nd grade - challenge yourself whilst having fun but without the pressure.

3rd grade - Show up, have a go, and be around some good people. If you want a social atmosphere, have a hit and play but may not be able to play every week, this may be the grade for you.

Cent Cup - A great way for your teenager to start transitioning to seniors cricket. Also perfect for father/son/daughter combinations if you want a season showing them how its done (or them showing you how old you've gotten!).

Join us for our end of season presentation on Saturday 11 April 2026 for all grades.
Regale everyone with your best hits, dropped catches (looking at you scorpion) and most ducks and get around the lads to recap the season that was with a few mangos.

Junior trials are on if you have kids involved and want to trial.

Orange Junior Cricket invites players to nominate to trial for Orange representative teams for the 2026 / 2027 Season.
Under 12, 13 ,14 and 16 teams will be selected.
Please note Under 12 trialists must be endorsed by a club coach.

This weeks Waratah's Man of the Match for 2nd and 3rd grade go to Benny Elwood and 2nds and Harrison Sharp in 3rds!
Harrison returned to Wanderers this season in 3's and made a great impact for the team, opening the batting and the bowling! Taking a wicket and getting a few runs not bad for his 2026 debut.
In 2nds, Benny Elwood picks up his third Man of the Match for the season with some classy bowling. Benny struck hard in the 6th over of the match, taking 3 wickets including 2 golden ducks in 2nd Grade's win over City.

Remember lads, to get your pint and win it, you need to be at preso at the Centre of Excellence at Tahs!

2nd Grade lined up heading into the final round before finals against Orange City. Our 2's have been unlucky against City, having lost all matches so far this year against them by very skinny margins. City were top of the table heading into the clash but coming off a good win against Kinross the week before, our 2's knew they could come up with the goods if they worked hard.
Wanderers went into bowl first, with the first 3 overs giving a bit of a scare, as City put on some early runs. It didn't help that the Scorpion dropped a sitter at Gully.
It didn't matter however as the captain brought himself on to bowl and got the break off the first ball of his spell. It all started to click from then on with Ben Elwood coming on in the 6th over with an absolute firecracker. Taking 3 wickets in the over, including taking the City captain for a golden duck, only to get another golden duck the next ball, trapping the City batsmen LBW in front. Suddenly City were 4-52 and looking in sorts. City managed to bat it out from there, with a decent 9th wicket partnership and some runs from tailender Glenn Robinson getting them to 156.
The Wanderers boys went out to bat with a plan, and kept to the plan, with the opening partnership putting on 34 runs at the end of the 8th over. Steve "the dream" Nean then came in and got to work and across the top order we finally saw some team batting, with all of the top 5 batsmen making it to double figures.
The lads finished the game off with 5 wickets in hand and their first commanding victory of the season.
Now slipped off the bottom of the ladder, the lads now look to 4th position being Centrals who are not too far away.

Our 3rd grade side lined up for their first game back in the 40 over format for 2026 against top of the ladder CYMS Lions. Finally filling a full side after being plagued by injuries and player availabilities, the fighting 3's were buoyed by new recruits and Daniel "David" Lang returning to 3rd grade hampered with a hamstring injury.
The 3's batted first, with an initial stand of 40 runs in the top 3, the batting fell away afterwards with a collapse from some good bowling seeing the lads out for 59 after 21 overs.
Notwithstanding that it was a low total, CYMS had to work to get it, giving away 5 wickets to some "Sharpe" bowling and good catching from the boys.
Unfortunately again it wasn't their day, however with some consistency week to week into the end of the season we look forward to seeing our 3's make the runs that we know they deserve.
