Weekend plans? 💛
Just a studio owner enjoying a relaxing weekend of…
✨ “Quickly” checking the inbox
✨ Thinking about next term’s timetable
✨ Remembering a costume you forgot to order
✨ Having a brilliant studio idea in the shower
✨ Trying NOT to open the laptop
✨ Opening the laptop anyway 😅
Studio ownership has a funny way of following you home.
So here’s your weekend reminder: not everything needs to be done today.
The studio will still be there Monday. The emails can wait. And that idea you just had? Pop it in your notes and go enjoy your coffee while it’s still hot. 😂☕️

Be honest… where are the notes from your last teacher observation? 👀
In a notebook?
A Google Doc somewhere?
On a sticky note on your desk?
Still floating around in your head? 😅
Giving your teachers feedback isn’t usually the problem.
It’s what happens after the conversation.
Did they complete the training you assigned?
Did you follow up on that classroom issue?
When did you last observe them?
Are their certifications up to date?
Where on earth did you save their contract?
When staff development relies on you remembering ALL THE THINGS, something is eventually going to slip through the cracks.
And that’s not because you need to “get more organised.”
You need a system.
Imagine being able to observe a teacher, assign their next training and actually track their progress — without another random spreadsheet or reminder scribbled on a piece of paper.
That’s the kind of stuff that gives you more time to actually lead your team, rather than constantly chase them.
Studio Growth Club members, this is exactly what we’re building towards. 💛

The right room can change everything.
Because sometimes you don’t need another strategy, another podcast or another hour spent Googling what every other studio is doing.
You need the right people around you.
Studio owners who get the hard decisions.
Who celebrate the wins that nobody else quite understands.
Who’ll share what’s working AND what’s not.
Who remind you that you don’t have to figure it all out alone.
The right people don’t just support your growth.
They change what’s possible.
Find your people. Get in the room. 💛

Can we get a HUGE round of applause for Brianna McInerney and the team at Spark Performing Arts?! 👏💛
Our Open Week 2026 winner in the 0–500 starting class placements category absolutely smashed it.
They went from 412 → 498 class placements.
That’s:
🔥 +86 class placements
📈 20.87% growth
💰 $30,960 in additional class fees for the rest of 2026
THIRTY. THOUSAND. DOLLARS. 🤯
And this is exactly why we bang on about Open Week.
It’s not just about filling a few empty spots. When you have a strategy behind your marketing, follow-up and enrolment process, a focused enrolment campaign can make a serious difference to your studio’s revenue for the rest of the year.
Brianna, we are SO thrilled for you and your team. What an incredible result! 🏆

The fee increase email sitting in your drafts isn’t going to get any easier to send 😅
We know why studio owners put it off.
You worry families will leave.
You worry they’ll think you’re charging too much.
You worry you’ll get that email back.
So you absorb another wage increase. Another insurance increase. Another jump in rent, costumes, software and everyday expenses.
But….
Your studio needs to be financially healthy to keep giving your students an incredible experience.
You need to pay great teachers properly.
Invest in your team.
Improve your programs.
And yes… actually pay yourself too.
Increasing your fees when your costs and the value you provide have increased isn’t something you need to apologise for.
Price for the studio you’re building - not the studio you were running three years ago. 💛
Studio owners, what’s harder for you: deciding on the increase or actually telling your families?
