Yarra Pistol Club is proud to announce we will be hosting the 2027 WA1500 World Titles, right here in Victoria, Australia. 🎯

Dates: 8–16 October 2027

This is a significant honour for our club and the wider shooting community, and we look forward to welcoming competitors from around the world to Victoria!

A great educational day for the ISSF State Team Squad today: focusing on rules and how things might go wrong at competitions, covering new rule changes and a refresher on anti-doping by guest SIA educator.
A big thank you to Sharon (the judge guru) and Annette (the coach guru) for everything they did in making today a success.
Thanks also for Oakleigh PC for hosting us and being so helpful in the preparations.

Despite being zero degrees overnight, everyone had a good sleep after last night’s movie and got stuck into some more training drills on the rapid fire (duelling) range this morning.

I’m sure the skid shot on Neli’s target would definitely gauge as an X-ring ten. 👍 Can we have a judge clarify that please. 😂

Some more rapid training after lunch, followed by some tips on how to strengthen muscles to help make a stable stance. A debrief was the last call for the day, with some words of encouragement from Graeme and Erin.

Day one of our junior coaching camp at Bendigo Pistol Club was a huge success with eight athletes taking part in the activities.

It was a busy day with discussions and videos in the morning on the fundamentals of shooting, as well as how to conduct your own training sessions, finishing with physical and mental exercises.

The afternoon was filled with air pistol drills, as well as our finals competition which resulted in a couple of shoot off series for first place between Neli and Oscar C.
