🎶 RAFFLE WINNERS HIT A MUSICAL JACKPOT! 🎤✨
Our lucky raffle recipients Rae Irby and Herb Baker enjoyed an unforgettable night out thanks to tickets for Beatles Legacy, with a special appearance by the wonderful Denis Walter.
Beatles Legacy is a top‑tier tribute act that pours heart and soul into recreating the magic, energy, and unmistakable sound of the Fab Four. 🎸💛 These talented musicians delivered a powerhouse performance — not just Beatles classics, but also crowd‑pleasing covers from The Monkees, Wings, Traveling Wilburys, and ELO.
This is no costume show — it’s a contemporary, moptop‑free celebration of the music itself, performed by five musicians who take their craft seriously and treat these iconic songs with absolute respect. 🎼🔥
Rae was over the moon 🌙 and said the show was absolutely brilliant and well worth seeing. And why wouldn’t it be — Rae and Herb had the best seats in the house thanks to drummer Paul Monger, who generously supplied the tickets for our club raffle. 🙌🎟️
A huge thank you to Paul for supporting the club and giving our members a night to remember. 💙👏

Seymour Bowls Club – Weekly Wrap
Tuesday Jackpot Pairs – 23 June
A foggy winter’s day greeted the twenty bowlers who took on Tuesday Jackpot Pairs, with little wind and a top of just 10 degrees. Numbers were down — several members have sensibly migrated north for the winter — but five rinks were filled and spirits remained high.
Three games of eight ends were played:
• Game 1: 2 4 2 format
• Game 2: 3 bowls
• Game 3: 2 bowls
Winners: Bronwyn Allen & Rob Baldwin – 3 wins, +24 Runners up: Trish Green & Dennis Klein – 3 wins, +15
The jackpot didn’t go off and will roll over to next week.
Friday Night at the Club
Friday evenings continue to draw a lively crowd for a meal, a drink and a chat. Tony Lee impressed with a hearty pumpkin soup, while Alison Ridley hit the mark with a superb winter minestrone.
The jackpot was won — and generously reinvested for next week’s draw.
Saturday Social Bowls – 27 June
A glorious sunny winter’s day welcomed sixteen bowlers for two games of 3 bowl pairs, ten ends each. The only challenge came from the local wood ducks, who left a few gooey reminders on the green for players to negotiate.
Winners: Vin Mlikota & Donna Syms – 2 wins, +35 Runners up: Dennis Klein & Rae Irby – 2 wins, +32
A tight contest and a terrific team effort all round.
Rotary Club of Seymour – Changeover Luncheon
The clubhouse hosted the Rotary Club of Seymour’s annual changeover luncheon. Dr Bill Dwyer was inducted as President, taking over from Ruth Byers. Geordie and his team produced a wonderful meal for the occasion, adding to the sense of celebration and community.
