Good day. Coombabah Trail Run is going to co-host the 2026 APES Games, Cross Country event, as part of our scheduled Sunday, 11 October 2026 event. Welcome to the Australasian Police & Emergency Services Games organising team and participants.

Good day. Coombabah Trail Run have free basketball tickets available for the games between the GOLD COAST ROLLERS and the MACKAY METEORS on SUNDAY, 19 JULY 2026.. Games starting at 12:00 at the Carrara Indoor Sport Stadium. Let us know if you want to go. These tickets are kindly donated by GOLD COAST BASKETBALL.

Melissa Clifford was the winner of the tickets donated by North Gold Coast Seahawks Basketball between the Seahawks and the Cairns Marlins on Saurday, 04 July 2026 at the Carrara Indoor Sports Centre. Mel told me they had a great time.

Coombabah Trail Run have FOUR tickets to give away for the North Gold Coast Seahawks games versus the Cairns Marlins. The venue is the Runaway Bay Indoor Stadium, scheduled for Saturday, 04 July 2026. As part of the twin event arrangement between Coombabah Trail Run and the Papatowai Challenge, two of their runners visited the Gold Coast last weekend. Linda and Martin arrived Friday evening, and although the 07 June, Coombabah Trail Run event was cancelled, we spent Saturday morning running the Paradise Point Park Run, planted some Koala-friendly trees, and we walked a section of the route in the Coombabah Lakes Conservation Park, hoping to spot a Koala or two.
Saturday evening we had a "Braai" at our place.
Sunday Linda and Martin spend sightseeing and Sunday evening we had sun-downers at Salacia Waters and say our farewells.
Monday morning they flew back home.

I reckon that the first exchange to the Gold Coast went very well, and the Coombabah Trail Run team are looking forward to doing the same in 2027.

This is due to the recent heavy rains and forecaster weather for the week prior to the event and race day.
