The QSTMA wishes to thank everyone who attended the 'Walk and Talk' event at Royal Queensland on Tuesday 28th of July.
We had one of the best turnouts to an association sponsored event with 160 people attending.
QSTMA president Keith Johnson was delighted with the exceptional turnout for Tuesday's event. He says it reflects the enthusiasm and commitment of sports turf professionals from across Queensland and a strong indicator of the success of the merger between STA Queensland and the Golf Course Superintendents Association of Queensland.
“Events like this continue to demonstrate the value of building connections across the profession, with greater opportunities for collaboration, education and knowledge sharing,”
“The willingness of members to participate in record numbers highlights the strength of the association and the positive direction it is taking as preparations continue for one of the biggest sporting events Australia has ever hosted.
“With the Olympics on the horizon, the future of the turf management industry in Queensland has never looked brighter. The success of this event reinforces the importance of investing in professional development, fostering collaboration and celebrating the outstanding facilities and people who will help showcase Queensland on the world stage.”
The QSTMA also wishes to extend its sincere appreciation Adam Mills and the team at Royal Queensland and Paul Spencer and Chris Chapman from GTS.
The QSTMA’s next event will be the GM and Superintendents PM Day at Ashgrove Golf Club on 11 August, followed a week later (18 August) with the association’s AGM at Twin Waters Golf Club on the Sunshine Coast.
