What's new today in Queensland?
From 31 August 2026:
16+? You need at least a learner driver licence to ride an e-bike in public.
12–17 and no licence? You can ride when appropriately supervised by a parent or caregiver.
Under 12? No e-bike riding in ordinary public areas, although designated recreational-area exemptions can apply.
Your e-bike? 250W maximum continuous rated power, assistance to 25km/h, throttle assistance only to 6km/h, with EN15194/compliance labelling requirements subject to the transition arrangements.

In 2019 Bare Creek Mountain Bike Park won Sydney cycling infrastructure of the year. How about Hornsby Park. ( There is a pump track )

Did you know that there is a 800m strip of (beside the) Rail Trail just north of Denistone Station on the way to Epping Station. Mostly roads in the area but fine early on a Sydney

Harris Park and down the improved but not perfect Duck River track is on the CycleSydney map. Interesting to look at the location of the new Duck River cycleway forming to the north of the M4 (shown in green) There is a little extra trail north of this Ride that is also shown in green below.
Given the interest in the Auburn Botanic Gardens and their blossums, maybe council can pick up this pace and make Duck River cycleway a total ride.
Otherwise, work out how to make riding under the M4 just ok and proper safe. Please share to the council someone
Todays ride was Harris Park to Regents Park via a impressively improved Duck River Cycleway. Idea was to pass the gates of the Auburn Gardens for all the pretty blossums but the whole area path side is surrounded by metal fences.
It will be called Ride 70 on the CycleSydney map

Could the M12 upset the bridge ramp for the CycleSydney infrastructure awards in 2026 🤔. Almost as tough a decision as Oxford St West verses the Greenway
