Your game is decided before you walk out. Not on the day. In the four things you do all week. Fuel, recovery, strength, mobility.

DM me EDGE at Charley | Perth Fitness & Nutrition Coaching and I will find the one lever wrecking your game and how to fix it this week.

No matter which program you choose, here’s what changes: you stop obsessing over the scale and calorie counting. You stop the restrict and repeat cycle.

Instead, we build performance-based goals. Strength targets. Power. Endurance. Things your body can actually do. When you train for performance instead of restriction, your body composition sorts itself out.

That’s how coaching works. It’s not about eating less. It’s about fueling better and training with a real purpose.

Both programs come with online or hybrid options
📍Roar Active Cockburn
📍Roar MMA 24/7 Gym Rockingham.

Everything included. Programming. Weekly check-ins. Personalized meal plan from Jorja, our clinical nutritionist.

These results did not come from extremes or crash diets. They came from showing up, staying consistent, and training with structure instead of relying on motivation.

Strength up. Body fat down. Endurance improved. Injuries reduced. Confidence back. Whether it is body recomposition or sport performance, the wins are real and they last, because the people behind them learned how to fuel and train properly.

But do not just look at the numbers. Read what these clients say about how they feel now. Less gym anxiety. More confidence. Actually enjoying training again. That is the part that matters most.

This is what coaching with SSAE actually looks like.

Most coaches hand you a program and leave you to figure out the rest. That has never sat right with me.

I lost 30kg myself. Everything changed when I stopped training for the scale and started training for a goal. That is why SSAE is built the way it is. Not around quick fixes, around structure that actually holds up in real life.

You do not just get me. You get Jorja too, our clinical nutritionist, building your meal plan from day one so your nutrition is sorted before you even walk in. Training and nutrition working together, not as two separate things you have to juggle on your own.

A program tells you what to do. A system makes sure it actually works, week after week, with someone in your corner who knows your name, your goals and your history.

That is the difference. That is SSAE.

Part 2 of Amy vs the mic.

This is where you see what actually happens when someone stops talking and starts moving 🤣

Amy made it through her full Hyrox session, debated her burpees, faked them, and then did them anyway because that is just who she is. There was a moment around the wall balls where I genuinely thought we were going to need a plastic surgeon on speed dial but she powered through like the absolute unit she is.

If you are one of my other clients watching this, consider yourself warned. The mic is staying on. I am documenting everything. There is nowhere to hide. But honestly this is why I love coaching Amy. She shows up when it matters. She does the work nobody wants to do. And she does it at 5am on the dot.

Introducing The Mic vs Clients.

A new series where I strap a mic on my clients and let the session do the talking. No script & Lots of heavy breathing. Just real people doing hard things and saying exactly what they think about me while they do it.

First up is Amy. My 5am on the dot girl. Not 5:01. Not 5:02. Five. Am. Sharp. Every single week without fail, this woman is laced up, warmed up, and ready to go before I have even had a sip of my monster.
Amy is currently starting in her Hyrox prep and I have to say, she is handling it with tremendous grace and maturity.
Just kidding. She is cooked. But she keeps showing up and that is genuinely why she is going to smash this thing.

This is Part 1 of her Hyrox session and the mic catches everything. The breathing. The comments. The very specific thoughts she has about me mid-set.
Stay tuned for Part 2 where she nearly needs a nose job.

Training for both strength and endurance at the same time is not impossible. It just requires more intention than picking one or the other.

1. Hydration. Start drinking electrolytes during your session, not just water. When you are running and lifting in the same week your sweat rate goes up and plain water stops cutting it. Cramping and fading mid session is usually a hydration problem, not a fitness problem.

2. Fuelling. Eat more than you think you need to. Two demands on the body means two lots of fuel required. If you are constantly sore, exhausted, and not recovering, the answer is almost always more food, not less.

3. Recovery. Sleep, heat, compression. Pick at least one and actually prioritise it. You are asking your body to adapt to multiple stimuli. If you are not recovering between sessions, you are just breaking yourself down repeatedly with nothing to show for it.

4. Programming. This is the big one. Your sessions need to be built around your performance goals, not just what feels good in the gym. Strength work should support your endurance and vice versa. If your program is not designed with both in mind, something will always suffer.

Get this right and you will be surprised how well the two actually work together.

that mindset shift matters, especially if you’re prepping for something like Hyrox 👀

In a Hyrox race, you’re never fresh. You tackle each kilometre in a compromised state, and that fatigue only compounds as the race goes on. So if you only ever train when you feel good, you’re preparing for conditions that don’t exist on race day.

The same applies if you play sport. Footy players, netballers, soccer players, you already do this without realising. A strength session on a day you have training that night? That’s your legs learning to perform when they’re already loaded. That carry over is real.

What actually happens when you train under fatigue?

Your muscles learn to stay efficient under stress. Your neuromuscular system builds memory to hold form when exhausted — which means better output, better technique, and less energy wasted when it counts. You also build a mental reference point. I’ve been here before and I kept going.

Training under fatigue is not the same as training through injury. There’s a difference between tired and broken. Tired means your body is adapting. Broken means it needs to recover. You’re ready to push when your performance stays consistent, you’re recovering well within 24 to 48 hours, and you can maintain good technique even when fatigued. If your form is collapsing or something hurts — that’s your body telling you to back off, not push through.

The goal is to progressively build your resilience. Same way you add weight to the bar, you add stress to your system… with purpose, and with enough recovery around it to actually make you stronger. 111 Days untill Hyrox btw 🤷🏽‍♀️

When I became a coach, I knew I wanted to build a community, not just a client list. And I felt really grateful this morning seeing everyone together. Even at 8:45 on a Sunday morning, which people didn’t have to get out of bed for but chose to.

This morning was our second bimonthly community catch up for SSAE. It was so good to see some of my online clients that I don’t get to see face to face as much. No matter what point of a fitness journey you’re in, having people who are also trying to be that 1% better than yesterday all in the same place was pretty cool. 🫶🏼
