A few weeks ago I had a really long and intense day at work
(Back in the office two days a week)
Driving home I felt a bit icky
I picked Charlie up and we went straight to the beach
We managed to catch the sunset

It's so easy to get stuck IN something
Worries, anxiety, stress
Your attention is hyper-focused and small

Looking at the sunset on the horizon reminded me
Widen your perspective
Move your awareness from the small to the infinite
What helps you zoom out?

A little insight into Nourished Supper Club last weekend and what to expect if you join us on 11 July 2026 🍽️

One thing I encourage is connection - it can be hard to make friends, we spend a lot of time in isolation, we might not speak to people outside of our age bracket, or you might not realise that you have something in common with the person next to you! So saying hi and doing an activity might just be the thing you need - we are all just humans, less lonely and better together πŸ‘―πŸ‘―β€β™€οΈ

And I'm obsessed with paint sticks and art, so any excuse ❣️

Behind the scenes - turns out taking pictures with lovely friends can be fun! Blessed by a rainbow before we started, gotta be a good sign? 🌈

Lots of gratitude to .momentsby.naz for being very generous with his skills and time, and encouraging us out of our shells. Very excited to see how the professional photos turn out πŸ“Έ

We also had some interesting chats about how we got into yoga, teaching, finding and building community, and the realities of the teaching path... looks like we're all thinking about heading into the online space soon πŸ‘€

Spent the weekend in a yin nest.

A reminder that rest is rejuvenating. It is a necessary part of life that is not always prioritised. But we cannot keep striving,m and be productive without consequences.

A reminder that we are all navigating life and challenges. We suppress emotions, make ourselves small, push through exhaustion. And over time the body might carry unresolved activation. We need practices for release.

A reminder that stillness might need to be progressive. If we go straight from being busy and active to imposed stillness, our bodies and minds might not be ready. Set the foundations for rest through movement, breath, sound, use blankets and pillows to make yourself truly comfortable. And then rest and release may come a little easier.

Privileged to learn from a teacher who embodies the practices and to be in community with women and teachers who know that in supporting themselves, they can support others

Nourished Supper Club - Round 2 🍽️

Chef Kenny and his lovely partner Hana will be cooking us dinner (previously Little Hawk Cafe). Hana and I met when I was looking after some family friends last year so I am really thrilled that they were keen to collaborate β™₯️

We start with a 90 minute yoga practice - a gentle mix of movement and rest ☁️

Followed by a Cool Fodder Indian family-style feast including a chocolatey sweet treat 🍫

Finished with a lot of chatter and connection ✨

Sat 23 May 2026, arrive at 4.45pm, off home at 8.30pm

We'll be at the beautiful - inside for a pop up dinner! Oh and I might ask for your help, just like if you came for dinner at my house πŸ‘©πŸ½β€πŸ³

Nourished Supper Club is about building community at events, but also connecting with local small businesses.

Shilna from .au provided some very generous samples of Sticky Chai, Rooibos Chai and Matcha Latte for everyone to take home so that the nourishment could continue β˜•οΈ

The aroma of whole roasted spices is something else. When I picked up the samples in O'Connor it didn't take me long to figure out which warehouse was theirs.
