“WHY NOT?!” 💙🏆
That was the mindset going into this one.
A Division 2 Mindarie side taking on Noranda — the current leaders of the Amateur Premier Division.
We’d already knocked out TWO Premier teams on this cup run… could we make it three?
WHY NOT?!
Dalvik Park was absolutely incredible. A huge crowd, electric atmosphere and a night that felt special before a ball was even kicked. 💙
Then 60 seconds in, some great play through the middle of park. Tom Ashworth winning the ball down back and playing ball to Dylan Rooney, who passes wide to Connor lynch, floats a cross in to IAN COOKLAND who smashes In a beautiful header to make it 1-0! 🤯🔥
Noranda threw everything at us, with Frazer McKevitt producing some unbelievable saves, before they eventually equalised in the 74th minute. The game finishing at 1-1 with penalties to follow

Then everyone piled into the changerooms to belt out MINDARIE’S ON FIRE! 🔥

Now this Division 2 side gets to walk out at Sam Kerr Stadium in a CUP FINAL.

Our Reserves have done it AGAIN — knocking out Noranda Emerald Premier Amateurs after an absolute battle at Dalvik, holding their nerve to win ON PENALTIES! 😮💨⚽
What a night. What an atmosphere. What a group of lads.
This cup run is becoming something pretty bloody special — and we’re not done yet.
A massive thank you to everyone who came down, packed out Dalvik and got behind the boys. You were part of it. 💙

Our Mindarie FC Men’s Reserves are just one win away from a Cup Final… but standing in our way is another Amateur Premier Division side.
We’ve already stunned TWO Premier Division teams on this unforgettable cup run.
Can we take down a third?
The bookies might not fancy us… but they don’t measure heart, belief, or the noise of a packed Dalvik Park.
This isn’t just another game.

Some memories last a lifetime… and last night was definitely one of them. 💙⚽
Mindarie FC was incredibly lucky to have our players invited to take part in the pre-match parade before the AC Milan vs Inter Milan Derby at Optus Stadium.
From the moment they walked out, the smiles said it all.
The lights, the atmosphere, the roar of the crowd… it was something every young footballer dreams of. Watching their faces light up as they stepped onto the pitch was amazing!
We’re not sure who enjoyed it more—the kids or the chaperones! 😄 A few of the adults seemed pretty convinced the 50,000+ fans were cheering specifically for them. (We’re not here to ruin that dream!)
It was a night full of laughter, excitement, wide-eyed moments and memories that will be talked about for a long time.
These are the opportunities that make community football so special. It’s not always about goals, trophies or league tables. Sometimes it’s about giving kids experiences they’ll never forget and seeing club members share moments that become lifelong memories.
A huge thank you to everyone involved in making it happen and the biggest thank you of all to Michelle and Lee for making this such a wonderful experience with little to no stress for those involved! Thank you to star Photographer Sean for the pics too! 📸
