A massive thank you to Shaheer and Frode at PSM Upstream Solutions for building Salties cradle for her travels to La Gomera. Not only did they build the cradle but they loaded her and managed all the pre shipping logistics to make sure Saltie was packed and ready for pick up! It’s support like this that means we can continue to work our day jobs knowing these epic guys have it all in hand! Thank you for your support 🥹💜

A special mention to Jessie, Pam and Cathy - no request to large, they’re even willing to give you the shoes off their feet 🤪

We all get asked “how long ago did you meet?” And “how did you meet?”

You might be surprised by the answers!

A moment for Coolamon Creative 😮‍💨 we cannot thank you enough for bringing our vision to life! Thank you Gabby for your patience while we threw very vague ideas at you! Feels pretty damn special to be showcasing artwork designed by Cassie’s cousin!
And a massive thank you to Pete for applying the wrap! We are absolutely stoked with the outcome

The last two years feels like a blur! Feels like Saltie has been here for 2 days and we are already sending her La Gomera!

We made the news 🥹🚣‍♀️🌊 here’s the story for those that missed it!!

So surreal seeing our journey to row across the Atlantic featured on and also NATIONALLY!

There’s still a lot of work, training and fundraising ahead before we leave for La Gomera, but moments like this make it all feel very real.

Huge thank you to everyone who has backed Blades of Oary so far. We genuinely couldn’t do this without you 💛

Next stop… the Atlantic 🌊

The last two years have been an epic voyage of learning, growth, challenges and incredible moments — all leading us to this December in La Gomera, which is now just 4 months away!
As we say goodbye to Saltie, who is making her way northwards the start line, we’re preparing ourselves and of course our final big event!

Join us on Saturday October 17th for our Farewell Fundraiser — an evening of good music, amazing food and some very special auctions.

A Huge thank you to for coming on board to support our campaign to row across the Atlantic Ocean!!!

We’re really excited to get stuck in using the kit they’ve sent us and it’s an awesome feeling to know that the quality of the equipment will hold up in the conditions we will be in!

🌊 SPONSOR SHOUTOUT …JETWAVE MARINE Jetwave Marine 🌊

A huge thank you to the legends at Jetwave Marine for getting behind Blades of Oary and supporting our journey across the Atlantic! 🚣🏼‍♀️🌊

As a WA-based marine company who spend their days on, around and under the water, we couldn’t think of a more fitting crew to have in our corner as we prepare to take on 4,800km of open ocean.

We’re incredibly grateful for their generous support and for another local WA business backing four women with a slightly wild idea to row across an ocean 😂🫪
