🚨RUGBY LEAGUE RETURNS TO THE PILBARA🚨

This week we look to put the spotlight in the lead up to rugby league returning back to the pilbara!

Both Jahna Cedar and Ratehi Hirini 2 of our founders brother and sister have a long family history in the once mighty powerhouse competion based in the northwest.

Their father Murray Hirini known as "BIG MUZZ" was a man of little words playing mostly as a second rower / front rower in his early days playing across all 3 teams in hedland - Hawks, Cougars and Barbarians.

The memories of watching their father, cousins, uncles and grandfather is 1 of the main reasons why they started this organisation to keep legacy alive and the passion of bush footy from the Northwest.

This recognition belongs to our entire Gur Wirimalpa family.

Over the past five years, our association has grown from an idea grounded in community into something much bigger, a place where our players and families can connect, compete, grow and celebrate who they are.

Huge milestone for our organisation we have 4 juniors joining us this year making there senior debuts! Bala Elias will be representing his greek and aboriginal heritage this tournament very proudly! This year his hard work off the paddock shines with his accomplishments in footy picking up calls ups in the Perth Bears Academy, U18S Perth City, CAS U18S and currently playing first grade with ellenbrook rabbitohs! All these achievements and only 17 years of age well done bala!

We have reached our capacity for 2 Senior Men's teams Harmony Cup 2026, Unfortunately we cannot enter anymore men's division's. We firstly would like to thank our community this year means a great deal to us as we step into Harmony Cup 10 as the first indigenous organisation to enter 2 Senior Men's teams!

We have some big announcements so stay tuned!
