This year, on Maha Shivaratri, Akam Performing Arts was truly blessed to perform at the Sri Siva Jothi Maha Shivaratri Mela 2026 and at the Sydney Murugan Temple Maha Shivaratri Music and Dance Festival.
I am incredibly proud of my students who performed with such dedication and devotion. Your commitment to your art and to each other truly shone on stage. I’m equally grateful to my student Showmeeya who worked behind the scenes. Your teamwork and selflessness embody the true spirit of Akam.
My heartfelt thanks to Dr Chandrika, the organisers of SSJT, and to Warren Kirby MP, who graciously attended and supported our performance.
I would also like to sincerely thank Sydney Murugan Cultural team and Chandrika akka for your continued dedication to fostering and uplifting the arts within our community.
As always, Akam Performing Arts is more than a school — it is a home filled with people who guide us, support us, and truly celebrate and enjoy this journey together.
