Tonight our Logan City Pirates family came together for the Youth League Awards Night, and we could not be prouder of what unfolded!

A MASSIVE congratulations to two of our U13 Mixed superstars:

🥈 Brock Johnstone – 2nd in the League Best & Fairest
🥉 Jack Johnstone – 3rd in the League Best & Fairest

WHAT AN INCREDIBLE ACHIEVEMENT! 👏🔥

To have TWO Logan City Pirates players finish inside the TOP THREE of the league Best & Fairest is absolutely HUGE — and such an amazing reflection of the seasons these two boys have had.

The Pirates were out in force tonight to support our players, and when Brock and Jack’s names were called, the cheers from our club just kept getting louder! 💚🖤 You could feel the excitement and pride in the room, and it was such a special moment to see our club come together and celebrate their achievements.

Brock and Jack have both had outstanding seasons. Their hard work, determination, consistency and love for their footy has been incredible to watch, and tonight they received some very well-deserved recognition.

For our U13 Mixed team, and for our club as a whole, this is something we are incredibly proud of. We continue to watch these young players grow, develop and represent the Pirates with pride — and nights like tonight show just how exciting the future of our club is! 🏴‍☠️

HEARTBREAKING END, BUT WHAT A SEASON 💚🖤🏴‍☠️

Today our U13s took the field in their Elimination Final against Kenmore, and what a game of footy these kids gave us.

At half time we were four goals down. It would have been easy for heads to drop, but this group has shown us all year exactly what they’re made of.

They came out in the third quarter and absolutely gave it everything, kicking four goals to bring the game back level heading into the final quarter. The fight, determination and belief in each other was incredible to watch.

The final quarter was an absolute battle. Kenmore managed to put one goal on the board and despite our kids fighting right until the final siren, we went down by just one goal.

And yep… this one hurts. 💔

But once that disappointment settles, there is nothing but pride.

This was a brand-new team this season. A group of kids who came together, learnt how to play alongside one another, built friendships, trusted each other and continued to improve every single week. To see how far they’ve come from the beginning of the season to playing finals football is something pretty special.

They’ve created history, made memories and laid the foundations for something really exciting at the Pirates.

To every one of our U13s — hold your heads high. You gave us everything today and you have given us so much to be proud of all season.

To our coaches, parents, families and everyone who has supported these kids throughout the year — thank you. 💚

The result today might not have gone our way, but this season has been a massive win for this group.

First year together. Finals footy. And we’re only getting started.
