I’m delighted to reveal that knitwear designer Vera Marcu of will be stopping by my stall for a meet and greet at the this Saturday 18/7 from 1-1:30pm.

Swing by for a chat and a chuckle about Vera’s designs for this year’s , the Noosa Cardigan and Noosa Scarf as well as some of her other designs.

When she isn’t designing knitwear, Vera also happens to be a gifted professional musician. I couldn’t be more grateful for her friendship, she is a cracker! ✨

A little while back I was fortunate to test knit the Snow Gum vest by . It’s been hard to keep it a secret, but the pattern will be released at the end of July in the 10th anniversary publication by .

It was a nice cruisey project, I’ve cropped my version so I could wear with with my dresses. I used Scuttlebutt (a woollen construction Perendale/Merino blend) in colour Burnt Henna and for the colourwork section I stash busted scrap and a little handspun treasure.
I would definitely make it again and my mum has requested a full length version in blue…

Spotted in the wild. A dyer in her garden taking a break from packing for the Australian Sheep & Wool Show.

If you are planning to attend this big show my hot tips are:
A) make some notes about what you might want to create and what materials it would require.
B) bring along a cup & cutlery or better yet pack a snack to keep you fueled up for watching the sheep dog trials!
C) bring a comfortable bag to carry any purchases.
D) wear comfortable shoes.
E) consider a cash budget to help you stick to your limit. Many small vendors like myself prefer cash but can accept card payments.
