Congratulations to our U18 superstars who have been in Darwin representing NSW at the Hockey Australia U18 National Championships! 💙🏑

🥇 A massive congratulations to Finlay, Xavier and Zayden, who are U18 National Champions after helping NSW claim the gold medal with a thrilling win over Queensland in the final. The boys were guided by Tigers’ own Ben Brown, who coached the NSW State team to the national title. An incredible achievement by all involved!

👏 Congratulations also to Ange and her NSW State teammates, who finished 4th after a heartbreaking shootout loss in the bronze medal match. A fantastic tournament and a performance to be proud of.

💙 Well done to Thomas and Leo, who represented the NSW Blues and finished 7th overall. Pulling on the NSW jersey at a national championship is an outstanding achievement.

We are incredibly proud of all of you for representing your state and our club with such distinction.

Shout out to all of our Under 12 athletes who travelled to Tamworth over the weekend to compete in the York Cup and Kym Small Shield.

We had a huge Tigers contingent this year, with players represented across several teams. By all accounts, everyone had a fantastic time in what is always such a great festival atmosphere. It’s a brilliant tournament for the kids — a chance to make new friends, enjoy their hockey, and create some great memories.

A special congratulations to Eli, who, along with his Newcastle 1 teammates, took home the York Cup. A fantastic achievement — well done!

Congratulations to our Tigers, Penny Eagleton and Jackson Muir, who have been selected to represent NSW at the U14 Nationals in the ACT this October.

Penny will represent the NSW U14 Girls State Team, while Jackson has been selected in the NSW U14 Boys Blues.

This is a fantastic recognition of your hard work, commitment and dedication to your hockey. You’ll represent Newcastle Tigers proudly, and we couldn’t be prouder.
